{Or, God ariseth; and so throughout verse 1, 2, 3.}Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered;
Let them also that hate him flee before him.

2 wird geladen ... As smoke is driven away, so drive them away:
As wax melteth before the fire,
So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

3 wird geladen ... But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God:
Yea, let them rejoice with gladness.

4 wird geladen ... Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:
Cast up a highway for him that rideth through the deserts;
His name is {Hebrew: Jah.}Jehovah; and exult ye before him.

5 wird geladen ... A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows,
Is God in his holy habitation.

6 wird geladen ... God {Hebrew: maketh the solitary to dwell in a house.}setteth the solitary in families:
He bringeth out the prisoners into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

7 wird geladen ... O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people,
When thou didst march through the wilderness; [Selah

8 wird geladen ... The earth trembled,
The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God:
Yon Sinai trembled at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9 wird geladen ... Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain,
Thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.

10 wird geladen ... Thy {Or, troop}congregation dwelt therein:
Thou, O God, didst prepare of thy goodness for the poor.

11 wird geladen ... The Lord giveth the word:
The women that publish the tidings are a great host.

12 wird geladen ... Kings of armies flee, they flee;
And she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.

13 wird geladen ... {Or, Will ye lie among the sheepfolds, as the wings…gold?}When ye lie among the sheepfolds,
It is as the wings of a dove covered with silver,
And her pinions with yellow gold.

14 wird geladen ... When the Almighty scattered kings therein,
It {Or, snowed}was as when it snoweth in Zalmon.

15 wird geladen ... A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan;
A {Hebrew: mountain of summits.}high mountain is the mountain of Bashan.

16 wird geladen ... Why look ye askance, ye high mountains,
At the mountain which God hath desired for his abode?
Yea, Jehovah will dwell in it for ever.

17 wird geladen ... The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands upon thousands:
The Lord is among them, {Or, Sinai is in the sanctuary}as in Sinai, in the sanctuary.

18 wird geladen ... Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led away captives;
Thou hast received gifts among men,
Yea, among the rebellious also, that {Hebrew: Jah.}Jehovah God might {Or, dwell there}dwell with them.

19 wird geladen ... Blessed be {Or, the Lord day by day: if one oppresseth us. God is our salvation.}the Lord, who daily beareth our burden,
Even the God who is our salvation. [Selah

20 wird geladen ... God is unto us a God of deliverances;
And unto Jehovah the Lord belongeth escape from death.

21 wird geladen ... But God will smite through the head of his enemies,
The hairy scalp of such a one as goeth on still in his guiltiness.

22 wird geladen ... The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan,
I will bring them again from the depths of the sea;

23 wird geladen ... That thou mayest crush them, dipping thy foot in blood,
That the tongue of thy dogs may have its portion from thine enemies.

24 wird geladen ... They have seen thy goings, O God,
Even the goings of my God, my King, {Or, in the sanctuary Or, in holiness}into the sanctuary.

25 wird geladen ... The singers went before, the minstrels followed after,
In the midst of the damsels playing with timbrels.

26 wird geladen ... Bless ye God in the congregations,
Even the Lord, ye that are of the fountain of Israel.

27 wird geladen ... There is little Benjamin their ruler,
The princes of Judah and their {Or, company}council,
The princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.

28 wird geladen ... Thy God hath commanded thy strength:
{Or, Be strong, O God, thou that hast &c.}Strengthen, O God, that which thou {Or, hast wrought for us out of thy temple. Unto Jerusalem &c.}hast wrought for us.

29 wird geladen ... Because of thy temple at Jerusalem
Kings shall bring presents unto thee.

30 wird geladen ... Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds,
The multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples,
{Or, Every one submitting himself with pieces of silver}Trampling under foot the pieces of silver:
{Or, as otherwise read, Scatter thou}He hath scattered the peoples that delight in war.

31 wird geladen ... Princes shall come out of Egypt;
{Hebrew: Cush.}Ethiopia shall haste to stretch out her hands unto God.

32 wird geladen ... Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth;
Oh sing praises unto the Lord;

33 wird geladen ... To him that rideth upon the heaven of heavens, which are of old;
Lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.

34 wird geladen ... Ascribe ye strength unto God:
His excellency is over Israel,
And his strength is in the skies.

35 wird geladen ... {Or, Terrible is God}O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places:
The God of Israel, he giveth strength and power unto his people.

Ri 5,7 wird geladen ... {Or, The villages were unoccupied}The rulers ceased in Israel, they ceased,Until that I Deborah arose,That I arose a mother in Israel.

Ri 5,8 wird geladen ... They chose new gods;Then was war in the gates:Was there a shield or spear seenAmong forty thousand in Israel?

Ri 5,9 wird geladen ... My heart is toward the governors of Israel, {Or, Ye that offered yourselves willingly among the people, bless &c.}That offered themselves willingly among the people:Bless ye Jehovah.

Ri 5,19 wird geladen ... The kings came and fought;Then fought the kings of Canaan.In Taanach by the waters of Megiddo:They took no gain of money.

Ri 5,20 wird geladen ... From heaven fought the stars,From their courses they fought against Sisera.

Ri 5,21 wird geladen ... The river Kishon swept them away,That ancient river, the river Kishon.O my soul, {Or, thou hast trodden down strength}march on with strength.

Ri 5,22 wird geladen ... Then did the horsehoofs stampBy reason of the prancings, the prancings of their strong ones.

Ri 5,23 wird geladen ... Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of Jehovah.Curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof,Because they came not to the help of Jehovah,To the help of Jehovah {Or, among}against the mighty.

Ri 5,26 wird geladen ... She put her hand to the tent-pin,And her right hand to the workmen's hammer;And with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote through his head;Yea, she pierced and struck through his temples.

Ri 5,27 wird geladen ... At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay;At her feet he bowed, he fell;Where he bowed, there he fell down {Or, overpowered}dead.

Ri 5,28 wird geladen ... Through the window she looked forth, and cried,The mother of Sisera cried through the lattice,Why is his chariot so long in coming?Why tarry the {Hebrew: steps.}wheels of his chariots?

Ri 5,30 wird geladen ... Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil?A damsel, two damsels to every man;To Sisera a spoil of dyed garments,A spoil of dyed garments embroidered,Of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the spoil?

Ri 5,31 wird geladen ... So let all thine enemies perish, O Jehovah:But let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might.And the land had rest forty years.

Ri 4,6 wird geladen ... And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh-naphtali, and said unto him, Hath not Jehovah, the God of Israel, commanded, saying, Go and draw unto mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?

Ri 4,7 wird geladen ... And I will draw unto thee, to the river Kishon, Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thy hand.

Ri 4,8 wird geladen ... And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go; but if thou wilt not go with me, I will not go.

Ri 4,9 wird geladen ... And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding, the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honor; for Jehovah will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

Ri 4,10 wird geladen ... And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh; and there went up ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.

Ri 4,11 wird geladen ... Now Heber {Hebrew: Kain See Numbers 24:22.}the Kenite had separated himself from {Hebrew: Kain See Numbers 24:22.}the Kenites, even from the children of Hobab the {Or, father-in-law}brother-in-law of Moses, and had pitched his tent as far as the {Or, terebinth}oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.

Ri 4,13 wird geladen ... And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the {Or, nations}Gentiles, unto the river Kishon.

Ri 4,14 wird geladen ... And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which Jehovah hath delivered Sisera into thy hand; is not Jehovah gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

Ri 4,15 wird geladen ... And Jehovah discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot, and fled away on his feet.

Ri 4,16 wird geladen ... But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the {Or, nations}Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; there was not a man left.

Ri 4,17 wird geladen ... Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite; for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.

Ri 4,18 wird geladen ... And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And he turned in unto her into the tent, and she covered him with a rug.

Ri 4,19 wird geladen ... And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.

Ri 4,20 wird geladen ... And he said unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth come and inquire of thee, and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No.

Ri 4,21 wird geladen ... Then Jael Heber's wife took a tent-pin, and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the pin into his temples, and it pierced through into the ground; for he was {Or, in a deep sleep and weary; so he died}in a deep sleep; so he swooned and died.

Ri 4,22 wird geladen ... And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will show thee the man whom thou seekest. And he came unto her; and, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the tent-pin was in his temples.

Ri 4,23 wird geladen ... So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.

Ri 4,24 wird geladen ... And the hand of the children of Israel prevailed more and more against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.
