1 wird geladen ... Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Moab, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

2 wird geladen ... But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth; and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet;

3 wird geladen ... and I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith Jehovah.

4 wird geladen ... Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Judah, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have rejected the law of Jehovah, and have not kept his statutes, and their lies have caused them to err, after which their fathers did walk.

5 wird geladen ... But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

6 wird geladen ... Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes—

7 wird geladen ... they that pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father go unto the same maiden, to profane my holy name:

8 wird geladen ... and they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge; and in the house of their God they drink the wine of such as have been fined.

9 wird geladen ... Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

10 wird geladen ... Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

11 wird geladen ... And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazirites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith Jehovah.

12 wird geladen ... But ye gave the Nazirites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

13 wird geladen ... Behold, {Or, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves}I will press you in your place, as a cart presseth that is full of sheaves.

14 wird geladen ... And {Or, refuge shall fail the swift}flight shall perish from the swift; and the strong shall not strengthen his force; neither shall the mighty deliver {Hebrew: his soul (or, life).}himself;

15 wird geladen ... neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself; neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver {Hebrew: his soul (or, life).}himself;

16 wird geladen ... and he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith Jehovah.

Jes 15,5 wird geladen ... My heart crieth out for Moab; her {Or, as otherwise read, fugitives}nobles flee unto Zoar, {Or, as a heifer three years old}to Eglath-shelishi-yah: for by the ascent of Luhith with weeping they go up; for in the way of Horonaim they raise up a cry of destruction.

Jes 15,9 wird geladen ... For the waters of Dimon are full of blood; for I will bring yet more upon Dimon, a lion upon them of Moab that escape, and upon the remnant of the land.

Jer 48,2 wird geladen ... The praise of Moab is no more; in Heshbon they have devised evil against her: Come, and let us cut her off from being a nation. Thou also, O Madmen, shalt be brought to silence: the sword shall pursue thee.

Jer 48,3 wird geladen ... The sound of a cry from Horonaim, desolation and great destruction!

Jer 48,4 wird geladen ... Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.

Jer 48,5 wird geladen ... For by the ascent of Luhith with continual weeping shall they go up; for at the descent of Horonaim they have heard the distress of the cry of destruction.

Jer 48,6 wird geladen ... Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.

Jer 48,7 wird geladen ... For, because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity, his priests and his princes together.

Jer 48,8 wird geladen ... And the destroyer shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape; the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed; as Jehovah hath spoken.

Jer 48,9 wird geladen ... Give wings unto Moab, {Or, for she must fly: and her cities &c.}that she may fly and get her away: and her cities shall become a desolation, without any to dwell therein.

Jer 48,10 wird geladen ... Cursed be he that doeth the work of Jehovah {Or, deceitfully}negligently; and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.

Jer 48,11 wird geladen ... Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remaineth in him, and his scent is not changed.

Jer 48,12 wird geladen ... Therefore, behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will send unto him them that {Hebrew: tilt (a vessel).}pour off, and they shall {Hebrew: tilt (a vessel).}pour him off; and they shall empty his vessels, and break their {Or, jars}bottles in pieces.

Jer 48,13 wird geladen ... And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Beth-el their confidence.

Jer 48,14 wird geladen ... How say ye, We are mighty men, and valiant men for the war?

Jer 48,15 wird geladen ... Moab is laid waste, and {Or, his cities are gone up in smoke}they are gone up into his cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts.

Jer 48,16 wird geladen ... The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.

Jer 48,17 wird geladen ... All ye that are round about him, bemoan him, and all ye that know his name; say, How is the strong {Or, sceptre}staff broken, the beautiful rod!

Jer 48,18 wird geladen ... O thou daughter that {Or, art sealed}dwellest in Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the destroyer of Moab is come up against thee, he hath destroyed thy strongholds.

Jer 48,19 wird geladen ... O {Hebrew: inhabitress.}inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and watch: ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth; say, What hath been done?

Jer 48,20 wird geladen ... Moab is put to shame; for it is {Or, dismayed}broken down: wail and cry; tell ye it by the Arnon, that Moab is laid waste.

Jer 48,21 wird geladen ... And judgment is come upon the plain country, upon Holon, and upon Jahzah, and upon Mephaath,

Jer 48,22 wird geladen ... and upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim,

Jer 48,23 wird geladen ... and upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon,

Jer 48,24 wird geladen ... and upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.

Jer 48,25 wird geladen ... The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith Jehovah.

Jer 48,26 wird geladen ... Make ye him drunken; for he magnified himself against Jehovah: and Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.

Jer 48,27 wird geladen ... For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for as often as thou speakest of him, thou waggest the head.

Jer 48,28 wird geladen ... O ye inhabitants of Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock; and be like the dove that maketh her nest over the mouth of the abyss.

Jer 48,29 wird geladen ... We have heard of the pride of Moab, that he is very proud; his loftiness, and his pride, and his arrogancy, and the haughtiness of his heart.

Jer 48,30 wird geladen ... I know his wrath, saith Jehovah, that it is nought; his boastings have wrought nothing.

Jer 48,31 wird geladen ... Therefore will I wail for Moab; yea, I will cry out for all Moab: for the men of Kir-heres shall they mourn.

Jer 48,32 wird geladen ... With more than the weeping of Jazer will I weep for thee, O vine of Sibmah: thy branches passed over the sea, they reached even to the sea of Jazer: upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage the destroyer is fallen.

Jer 48,33 wird geladen ... And gladness and joy is taken away from the fruitful field and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to cease from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; the shouting shall be no shouting.

Jer 48,34 wird geladen ... From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, even unto Jahaz have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, {Or, as a heifer three years old}to Eglath-shelishiyah: for the waters of Nimrim also shall become {Hebrew: desolations.}desolate.

Jer 48,35 wird geladen ... Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith Jehovah, him that offereth in the high place, and him that burneth incense to his gods.

Jer 48,36 wird geladen ... Therefore my heart soundeth for Moab like pipes, and my heart soundeth like pipes for the men of Kir-heres: therefore the abundance that he hath gotten is perished.

Jer 48,37 wird geladen ... For every head is bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands are cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.

Jer 48,38 wird geladen ... On all the housetops of Moab and in the streets thereof there is lamentation every where; for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein none delighteth, saith Jehovah.

Jer 48,39 wird geladen ... How is it broken down! {Or, wail ye!}how do they wail! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab become a derision and a terror to all that are round about him.

Jer 48,40 wird geladen ... For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread out his wings against Moab.

Jer 48,41 wird geladen ... {Or, The cities are taken}Kerioth is taken, and the strongholds are seized, and the heart of the mighty men of Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

Jer 48,42 wird geladen ... And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against Jehovah.

Jer 48,43 wird geladen ... Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith Jehovah.

Jer 48,44 wird geladen ... He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon him, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith Jehovah.

Jer 48,45 wird geladen ... {Or, Fleeing because of the force, they stand under}They that fled stand without strength under the shadow of Heshbon; {Or, but}for a fire is gone forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and hath devoured the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.

Jer 48,46 wird geladen ... Woe unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh is undone; for thy sons are taken away captive, and thy daughters into captivity.

Jer 48,47 wird geladen ... Yet will I {Or, return to}bring back the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith Jehovah. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.

Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Edom, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and {Hebrew: corrupted his compassions.}did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever.

Zeph 2,8 wird geladen ... I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, wherewith they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.

And he sent messengers unto Balaam the son of Beor, to Pethor, which is by the River, to the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the {Hebrew: eye.}face of the earth, and they abide over against me.

4Mo 22,6 wird geladen ... Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land; for I know that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.

4Mo 22,7 wird geladen ... And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spake unto him the words of Balak.

4Mo 22,8 wird geladen ... And he said unto them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as Jehovah shall speak unto me: and the princes of Moab abode with Balaam.

4Mo 22,9 wird geladen ... And God came unto Balaam, and said, What men are these with thee?

4Mo 22,10 wird geladen ... And Balaam said unto God, Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, hath sent unto me, saying,

4Mo 22,11 wird geladen ... Behold, the people that is come out of Egypt, it covereth the {Hebrew: eye.}face of the earth: now, come curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to fight against them, and shall drive them out.

4Mo 22,12 wird geladen ... And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people; for they are blessed.

4Mo 22,13 wird geladen ... And Balaam rose up in the morning, and said unto the princes of Balak, Get you into your land; for Jehovah refuseth to give me leave to go with you.

4Mo 22,14 wird geladen ... And the princes of Moab rose up, and they went unto Balak, and said, Balaam refuseth to come with us.

4Mo 22,15 wird geladen ... And Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honorable than they.

4Mo 22,16 wird geladen ... And they came to Balaam, and said to him, Thus saith Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I pray thee, hinder thee from coming unto me:

4Mo 22,17 wird geladen ... for I will promote thee unto very great honor, and whatsoever thou sayest unto me I will do: come therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people.

4Mo 22,18 wird geladen ... And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of Jehovah my God, to do less or more.

4Mo 22,19 wird geladen ... Now therefore, I pray you, tarry ye also here this night, that I may know what Jehovah will speak unto me more.

4Mo 22,20 wird geladen ... And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men are come to call thee, rise up, go with them; but only the word which I speak unto thee, that shalt thou do.

4Mo 22,21 wird geladen ... And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab.

4Mo 22,22 wird geladen ... And God's anger was kindled because he went; and the angel of Jehovah placed himself in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.

4Mo 22,23 wird geladen ... And the ass saw the angel of Jehovah standing in the way, with his sword drawn in his hand; and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.

4Mo 22,24 wird geladen ... Then the angel of Jehovah stood in a narrow path between the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.

4Mo 22,25 wird geladen ... And the ass saw the angel of Jehovah, and she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again.

Zeph 2,9 wird geladen ... Therefore as I live, saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, a possession of {Or, wild vetches}nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall make a prey of them, and the remnant of my nation shall inherit them.

5Mo 23,5 wird geladen ... Nevertheless Jehovah thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but Jehovah thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because Jehovah thy God loved thee.

Ps 83,4 wird geladen ... They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation;That the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

Ps 83,5 wird geladen ... For they have consulted together with one consent;Against thee do they make a covenant:
