1 wird geladen ... And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

2 wird geladen ... Send thou men, that they may spy out the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a prince among them.

3 wird geladen ... And Moses sent them from the wilderness of Paran according to the commandment of Jehovah: all of them men who were heads of the children of Israel.

4 wird geladen ... And these were their names: Of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.

5 wird geladen ... Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori.

6 wird geladen ... Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

7 wird geladen ... Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.

8 wird geladen ... Of the tribe of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Nun.

9 wird geladen ... Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu.

10 wird geladen ... Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi.

11 wird geladen ... Of the tribe of Joseph, namely, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi.

12 wird geladen ... Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.

13 wird geladen ... Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael.

14 wird geladen ... Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.

15 wird geladen ... Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.

16 wird geladen ... These are the names of the men that Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Hoshea the son of Nun Joshua.

17 wird geladen ... And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way {Or, into}by the South, and go up into the hill-country:

18 wird geladen ... and see the land, what it is; and the people that dwell therein, whether they are strong or weak, whether they are few or many;

19 wird geladen ... and what the land is that they dwell in, whether it is good or bad; and what cities they are that they dwell in, whether in camps, or in strongholds;

20 wird geladen ... and what the land is, whether it is fat or lean, whether there is wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the first-ripe grapes.

21 wird geladen ... So they went up, and spied out the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, to the entrance of Hamath.

22 wird geladen ... And they went up {Or, into}by the South, and came unto Hebron; and Ahaiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were there. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)

23 wird geladen ... And they came unto the valley of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it upon a staff between two; they brought also of the pomegranates, and of the figs.

24 wird geladen ... That place was called the valley of {That is, a cluster}Eshcol, because of the cluster which the children of Israel cut down from thence.

25 wird geladen ... And they returned from spying out the land at the end of forty days.

26 wird geladen ... And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.

27 wird geladen ... And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us; and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

28 wird geladen ... Howbeit the people that dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.

29 wird geladen ... Amalek dwelleth in the land of the South: and the Hittite, and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, dwell in the hill-country; and the Canaanite dwelleth by the sea, and along by the side of the Jordan.

30 wird geladen ... And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

31 wird geladen ... But the men that went up with him said, We are not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

32 wird geladen ... And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had spied out unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature.

33 wird geladen ... And there we saw the {Or, giants}Nephilim, the sons of Anak, who come of the Nephilim: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

4Mo 27,22 wird geladen ... And Moses did as Jehovah commanded him; and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:

2Mo 17,9 wird geladen ... And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to-morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.

2Mo 17,10 wird geladen ... So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

2Mo 17,11 wird geladen ... And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

2Mo 17,12 wird geladen ... But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

2Mo 24,13 wird geladen ... And Moses rose up, and Joshua his minister: and Moses went up into the mount of God.

Jos 1,1 wird geladen ... Now it came to pass after the death of Moses the servant of Jehovah, that Jehovah spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,

Jos 1,2 wird geladen ... Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

Jos 1,3 wird geladen ... Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, to you have I given it, as I spake unto Moses.

Jos 1,4 wird geladen ... From the wilderness, and this Lebanon, even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.

Jos 1,5 wird geladen ... There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee; I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Jos 1,6 wird geladen ... Be strong and of good courage; for thou shalt cause this people to inherit the land which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Jos 1,7 wird geladen ... Only be strong and very courageous, to observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest {Or, deal wisely}have good success whithersoever thou goest.

Jos 1,8 wird geladen ... This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate thereon day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt {Or, deal wisely}have good success.

Jos 1,9 wird geladen ... Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not affrighted, neither be thou dismayed: for Jehovah thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Jos 1,16 wird geladen ... And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou hast commanded us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us we will go.

Jos 24,1 wird geladen ... And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God.

Jos 24,2 wird geladen ... And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt of old time beyond the River, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nahor: and they served other gods.

Jos 24,3 wird geladen ... And I took your father Abraham from beyond the River, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.

Jos 24,4 wird geladen ... And I gave unto Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave unto Esau mount Seir, to possess it: and Jacob and his children went down into Egypt.

Jos 24,5 wird geladen ... And I sent Moses and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to that which I did in the midst thereof: and afterward I brought you out.

Jos 24,6 wird geladen ... And I brought your fathers out of Egypt: and ye came unto the sea; and the Egyptians pursued after your fathers with chariots and with horsemen unto the Red Sea.

Jos 24,7 wird geladen ... And when they cried out unto Jehovah, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes saw what I did in Egypt: and ye dwelt in the wilderness many days.

Jos 24,8 wird geladen ... And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, that dwelt beyond the Jordan: and they fought with you; and I gave them into your hand, and ye possessed their land; and I destroyed them from before you.

Jos 24,9 wird geladen ... Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and fought against Israel: and he sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you;

Jos 24,10 wird geladen ... but I would not hearken unto Balaam; therefore he blessed you still: so I delivered you out of his hand.

Jos 24,11 wird geladen ... And ye went over the Jordan, and came unto Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Girgashite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I delivered them into your hand.

Jos 24,12 wird geladen ... And I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; not with thy sword, nor with thy bow.

Jos 24,13 wird geladen ... And I gave you a land whereon thou hadst not labored, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell therein; of vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.

Jos 24,14 wird geladen ... Now therefore fear Jehovah, and serve him in sincerity and in truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River, and in Egypt; and serve ye Jehovah.

Jos 24,15 wird geladen ... And if it seem evil unto you to serve Jehovah, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah.

Jos 24,16 wird geladen ... And the people answered and said, Far be it from us that we should forsake Jehovah, to serve other gods;

Jos 24,17 wird geladen ... for Jehovah our God, he it is that brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of {Hebrew: bondmen.}bondage, and that did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the peoples through the midst of whom we passed;

Jos 24,18 wird geladen ... and Jehovah drove out from before us all the peoples, even the Amorites that dwelt in the land: therefore we also will serve Jehovah; for he is our God.

Jos 24,19 wird geladen ... And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve Jehovah; for he is a holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgression nor your sins.

Jos 24,20 wird geladen ... If ye forsake Jehovah, and serve foreign gods, then he will turn and do you evil, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.

Jos 24,21 wird geladen ... And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve Jehovah.

Jos 24,22 wird geladen ... And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you Jehovah, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.

Jos 24,23 wird geladen ... Now therefore put away, said he, the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto Jehovah, the God of Israel.

Jos 24,24 wird geladen ... And the people said unto Joshua, Jehovah our God will we serve, and unto his voice will we hearken.

Jos 24,25 wird geladen ... So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.

Jos 24,26 wird geladen ... And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God; and he took a great stone, and set it up there under the oak that was {Or, in}by the sanctuary of Jehovah.

Jos 24,27 wird geladen ... And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us; for it hath heard all the words of Jehovah which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness against you, lest ye deny your God.

Jos 24,28 wird geladen ... So Joshua sent the people away, every man unto his inheritance.

Jos 24,29 wird geladen ... And it came to pass after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Jehovah, died, being a hundred and ten years old.

Jos 24,30 wird geladen ... And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathserah, which is in the hill-country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.

Jos 24,31 wird geladen ... And Israel served Jehovah all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, and had known all the work of Jehovah, that he had wrought for Israel.

Jos 24,32 wird geladen ... And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in the parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred pieces of money: and they became the inheritance of the children of Joseph.

Jos 24,33 wird geladen ... And Eleazar the son of Aaron died; and they buried him in {Or, Gibeah of Phinehas}the hill of Phinehas his son, which was given him in the hill-country of Ephraim.
