Behold, Jehovah rideth upon a swift cloud, and cometh unto Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.

2 wird geladen ... And I will {Or, join together Or, arm}stir up the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbor; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.

3 wird geladen ... And the spirit of Egypt shall {Hebrew: be emptied.}fail in the midst of it; and I will {Hebrew: swallow up.}destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek unto the idols, and to the {Or, whisperers}charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.

4 wird geladen ... And I will {Or, shut up}give over the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.

5 wird geladen ... And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and become dry.

6 wird geladen ... And the rivers shall become foul; the {Or, canals}streams of {Hebrew: Mazor.}Egypt shall be diminished and dried up; the reeds and flags shall wither away.

7 wird geladen ... The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all the sown fields of the Nile, shall become dry, be driven away, and be no more.

8 wird geladen ... And the fishers shall lament, and all they that cast angle into the Nile shall mourn, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.

9 wird geladen ... Moreover they that work in combed flax, and they that weave {Or, cotton}white cloth, shall be confounded.

10 wird geladen ... And {Hebrew: her pillars.}the {Or, foundations}pillars of Egypt shall be broken in pieces; all they {Or, that make dams}that work for hire shall be grieved in soul.

11 wird geladen ... The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish; the counsel of the wisest counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?

12 wird geladen ... Where then are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now; and let them know what Jehovah of hosts hath purposed concerning Egypt.

13 wird geladen ... The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Memphis are deceived; they have caused Egypt to go astray, that are the corner-stone of her tribes.

14 wird geladen ... Jehovah hath mingled a spirit of perverseness in the midst of her; and they have caused Egypt to go astray in every work thereof, as a drunken man {Or, goeth astray}staggereth in his vomit.

15 wird geladen ... Neither shall there be for Egypt any work, which head or tail, palm-branch or rush, may do.

16 wird geladen ... In that day shall the Egyptians be like unto women; and they shall tremble and fear because of the shaking of the hand of Jehovah of hosts, which he shaketh over them.

17 wird geladen ... And the land of Judah shall become a terror unto Egypt; {Or, every one that maketh mention thereof, to him shall they turn in fear}every one to whom mention is made thereof shall be afraid, because of the purpose of Jehovah of hosts, which he purposeth against it.

18 wird geladen ... In that day there shall be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan, and swear to Jehovah of hosts; one shall be called The city of {Or, Heres Or, according to another reading, the sun.}destruction.

19 wird geladen ... In that day shall there be an altar to Jehovah in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to Jehovah.

20 wird geladen ... And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto Jehovah of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they shall cry unto Jehovah because of oppressors, and he will send them a saviour, and {Or, a mighty one}a defender, and he will deliver them.

21 wird geladen ... And Jehovah shall {Or, make himself known}be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know Jehovah in that day; yea, they shall worship with sacrifice and oblation, and shall vow a vow unto Jehovah, and shall perform it.

22 wird geladen ... And Jehovah will smite Egypt, smiting and healing; and they shall return unto Jehovah, and he will be entreated of them, and will heal them.

23 wird geladen ... In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria; and the Egyptians shall worship with the Assyrians.

24 wird geladen ... In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth;

25 wird geladen ... for that Jehovah of hosts hath blessed them, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

Jer 46,8 wird geladen ... Egypt riseth up like the Nile, and his waters toss themselves like the rivers: and he saith, I will rise up, I will cover the earth; I will destroy cities and the inhabitants thereof.

Jer 46,9 wird geladen ... Go up, ye horses; and rage, ye chariots; and let the mighty men go forth: Cush and Put, that handle the shield; and the Ludim, that handle and bend the bow.

Jer 46,10 wird geladen ... For that day is a day of the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour and be satiate, and shall drink its fill of their blood; for the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

Jer 46,14 wird geladen ... Declare ye in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Memphis and in Tahpanhes: say ye, Stand forth, and prepare thee; for the sword hath devoured round about thee.

Jer 46,15 wird geladen ... Why are thy strong ones swept away? they stood not, because Jehovah did {Or, thrust them down}drive them.

Jer 46,16 wird geladen ... He made many to stumble, yea, they fell one upon another: and they said, Arise, and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing sword.

Jer 46,17 wird geladen ... They cried there, Pharaoh king of Egypt is {Or, destroyed}but a noise; he hath let the appointed time pass by.

Jer 46,18 wird geladen ... As I live, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts, surely like Tabor among the mountains, and like Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.

Jer 46,19 wird geladen ... {Or, O thou that swellest with the daughter of Egypt}O thou daughter that dwellest in Egypt, {Hebrew: make the vessels of captivity.}furnish thyself to go into captivity; for Memphis shall become a desolation, and shall be burnt up, without inhabitant.

Jer 46,25 wird geladen ... Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saith: Behold, I will punish Amon of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with her gods, and her kings; even Pharaoh, and them that trust in him:

Jer 46,26 wird geladen ... and I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants; and afterwards it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith Jehovah.

Hes 29,14 wird geladen ... and I will {Or, return to}bring back the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their {Or, origin}birth; and they shall be there a {Hebrew: low.}base kingdom.

Hes 29,15 wird geladen ... It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it any more lift itself up above the nations: and I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.

Hes 29,16 wird geladen ... And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to remembrance, when they turn to look after them: and they shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

Hes 29,17 wird geladen ... And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

Hes 29,18 wird geladen ... Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was worn; yet had he no wages, nor his army, from Tyre, for the service that he had served against it.

Hes 29,19 wird geladen ... Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry off her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.

Hes 29,21 wird geladen ... In that day will I cause a horn to bud forth unto the house of Israel, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
