The man saith {Or, as otherwise read, I have wearied myself, O God, I have wearied myself, O God, and am consumed: For I am &c.}unto Ithiel, unto Ithiel and Ucal:

And have not the understanding of a man;

3 wird geladen ... And I have not learned wisdom,
{Or, That I should have the knowledge &c.}Neither have I the knowledge of the Holy One.

4 wird geladen ... Who hath ascended up into heaven, and descended?
Who hath gathered the wind in his fists?
Who hath bound the waters in his garment?
Who hath established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou knowest?

5 wird geladen ... Every word of God is {Hebrew: purified.}tried:
He is a shield unto them that take refuge in him.

6 wird geladen ... Add thou not unto his words,
Lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

7 wird geladen ... Two things have I asked of thee;
Deny me them not before I die:

8 wird geladen ... Remove far from me falsehood and lies;
Give me neither poverty nor riches;
Feed me with {Hebrew: the bread of my portion.}the food that is needful for me:

9 wird geladen ... Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is Jehovah?
Or lest I be poor, and steal,
And {Hebrew: handle the name.}use profanely the name of my God.

10 wird geladen ... Slander not a servant unto his master,
Lest he curse thee, and thou be held guilty.

11 wird geladen ... There is a generation that curse their father,
And bless not their mother.

12 wird geladen ... There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes,
And yet are not washed from their filthiness.

13 wird geladen ... There is a generation, oh how lofty are their eyes!
And their eyelids are lifted up.

14 wird geladen ... There is a generation whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives,
To devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

15 wird geladen ... The {Or, vampire}horseleach hath two daughters, {Or, called}crying, Give, give.
There are three things that are never satisfied,
Yea, four that say not, Enough:

16 wird geladen ... Sheol; and the barren womb;
The earth that is not satisfied with water;
And the fire that saith not, Enough.

17 wird geladen ... The eye that mocketh at his father,
And despiseth to obey his mother,
The ravens of {Or, the brook}the valley shall pick it out,
And the {Or, vultures}young eagles shall eat it.

18 wird geladen ... There are three things which are too wonderful for me,
Yea, four which I know not:

19 wird geladen ... The way of an eagle in the air;
The way of a serpent upon a rock;
The way of a ship in the midst of the sea;
And the way of a man with a maiden.

She eateth, and wipeth her mouth,
And saith, I have done no wickedness.

21 wird geladen ... {Hebrew: Under.}For three things the earth doth tremble,
And for four, which it cannot bear:

22 wird geladen ... For a servant when he is king;
And a fool when he is filled with food;

23 wird geladen ... For an odious woman when she is married;
And a handmaid that is heir to her mistress.

24 wird geladen ... There are four things which are little upon the earth,
But they are exceeding wise:

25 wird geladen ... The ants are a people not strong,
Yet they provide their food in the summer;

26 wird geladen ... The conies are but a feeble folk,
Yet make they their houses in the rocks;

27 wird geladen ... The locusts have no king,
Yet go they forth all of them by bands;

28 wird geladen ... The lizard {Or, thou canst seize with thy hands}taketh hold with her hands,
Yet is she in kings' palaces.

29 wird geladen ... There are three things which are stately in their march,
Yea, four which are stately in going:

30 wird geladen ... The lion, which is mightiest among beasts,
And turneth not away for any;

And the king {Or, when his army is with him}against whom there is no rising up.

32 wird geladen ... If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself,
Or if thou hast thought evil,
Lay thy hand upon thy mouth.

33 wird geladen ... For the {Hebrew: pressing.}churning of milk bringeth forth butter,
And the {Hebrew: pressing.}wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood;
So the {Hebrew: pressing.}forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.

Ps 104,20 wird geladen ... Thou makest darkness, and it is night,Wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth.

Ps 104,21 wird geladen ... The young lions roar after their prey,And seek their food from God.

Ps 104,33 wird geladen ... I will sing unto Jehovah as long as I live:I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.

Ps 104,34 wird geladen ... Let thy meditation be sweet unto him:I will rejoice in Jehovah.

Jes 40,18 wird geladen ... To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

Jes 40,19 wird geladen ... The image, a workman hath cast it, and the goldsmith overlayeth it with gold, and casteth for it silver chains.

Jes 40,20 wird geladen ... He that is too impoverished for such an oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a skilful workman to {Or, prepare}set up a graven image, that shall not be moved.

Jes 40,21 wird geladen ... Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not {Or, understood the foundations}understood from the foundations of the earth?

Jes 40,22 wird geladen ... It is he that sitteth above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as {Or, gauze}a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;

Jes 40,23 wird geladen ... that bringeth princes to nothing; that maketh the judges of the earth as {Or, confusion}vanity.

Jes 40,24 wird geladen ... {Or, Scarce are they planted, scarce are they sown, scarce hath their stock taken root in the earth, when he bloweth upon them &c.}Yea, they have not been planted; yea, they have not been sown; yea, their stock hath not taken root in the earth: moreover he bloweth upon them, and they wither, and the whirlwind taketh them away as stubble.

Jes 40,26 wird geladen ... Lift up your eyes on high, {Or, and see: who hath created these? he that &c.}and see who hath created these, that bringeth out their host by number; he calleth them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and for that he is strong in power, not one is lacking.

Jes 40,27 wird geladen ... Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from Jehovah, and the justice due to me is passed away from my God?

Jes 40,28 wird geladen ... Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard? {Or, Jehovah is an everylasting God, the Creator…he fainteth not &c.}The everlasting God, Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary; there is no searching of his understanding.

Jes 40,29 wird geladen ... He giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might he increaseth strength.

Jes 40,30 wird geladen ... Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Jes 40,31 wird geladen ... but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.

2Mo 34,5 wird geladen ... And Jehovah descended in the cloud, {Or, and he stood with him there, and called upon &c.}and stood with him there, and proclaimed {Or, Jehovah by name}the name of Jehovah.
