Jehovah doth build up Jerusalem;He gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.
He healeth the broken in heart,And bindeth up their {Hebrew: sorrows.}wounds.
He counteth the number of the stars;He calleth them all by their names.
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power;His understanding is infinite.
Jehovah upholdeth the meek:He bringeth the wicked down to the ground.
Is there no balm in Gilead? is there no physician there? why then is not the {Or, healing}health of the daughter of my people {Or, perfected Hebrew: gone up.}recovered?
A Song of Ascents; of Solomon.Except Jehovah build the house,They labor in vain that build it:Except Jehovah keep the city,The watchman waketh but in vain.
So the nations shall fear the name of Jehovah,And all the kings of the earth thy glory.
And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will {Or, return to}turn again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have compassion on his dwelling-places; and the city shall be builded upon its own {Or, mound Hebrew: tel.}hill, and the palace shall {Or, remain}be inhabited after its own manner.
And I will {Or, return to}bring back the captivity of my people Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
that then Jehovah thy God will {Or, return to}turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the peoples, whither Jehovah thy God hath scattered thee.
And he will set up an ensign for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
The Lord Jehovah, who gathereth the outcasts of Israel, saith, Yet will I gather others to him, {Hebrew: to his gathered ones.}besides his own that are gathered.
Contend with your mother, contend; for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband; and let her put away her whoredoms from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
and I will make them one nation in the land, upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all;
And he shall send forth his angels with {Or, a trumpet of great sound}a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech,That I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
My soul hath long had her dwellingWith him that hateth peace.
I am for peace:But when I speak, they are for war.

My help cometh from Jehovah,Who made heaven and earth.
{Or, Let him not suffer…Let him not slumber that &c.}He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:He that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth IsraelWill neither slumber nor sleep.
Jehovah is thy keeper:Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day,Nor the moon by night.
Jehovah will keep thee from all evil;He will keep thy soul.
Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming inFrom this time forth and for evermore.
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
Come, and let us return unto Jehovah; for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

Lift up your eyes on high, {Or, and see: who hath created these? he that &c.}and see who hath created these, that bringeth out their host by number; he calleth them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and for that he is strong in power, not one is lacking.
And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and number the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
I say unto you, This man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; but he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
