So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.
Behold, my servant shall {Or, prosper}deal wisely, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.
Who shall not fear, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy; for all the nations shall come and {See marginal note on chapter 3:9}worship before thee; for thy righteous acts have been made manifest.
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah; set to Alamoth. A Song.God is our refuge and strength,A very present help in trouble.
Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change,And though the mountains be shaken into the heart of the seas
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,Though the mountains tremble with the {Or, pride}swelling thereof. [Selah
There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God,The holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved:God will help her, {Hebrew: at the dawn of morning.}and that right early.
The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved:He uttered his voice, the earth melted.
Jehovah of hosts is with us;The God of Jacob is our {Or, high tower}refuge. [Selah
Come, behold the works of Jehovah, {Or, Who hath made desolation &c.}What desolations he hath made in the earth.
He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariots in the fire.
{Or, Let be}Be still, and know that I am God:I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

A Song; a Psalm of the sons of Korah.Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised,In the city of our God, in his holy mountain.
Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth,Is mount Zion, on the sides of the north,The city of the great King.

For, lo, the kings assembled themselves,They {Or, passed away}passed by together.
They saw it, then were they amazed; They were dismayed, they {Or, were stricken with terror}hasted away.
Trembling took hold of them there,Pain, as of a woman in travail.
{Or, As with the east wind that breatheth}With the east windThou breakest the ships of Tarshish.
As we have heard, so have we seenIn the city of Jehovah of hosts, in the city of our God:God will establish it for ever. [Selah
We have thought on thy lovingkindness, O God,In the midst of thy temple.
As is thy name, O God,So is thy praise unto the ends of the earth:Thy right hand is full of righteousness.
Let mount Zion be glad,Let the daughters of Judah rejoice,Because of thy judgments.
Walk about Zion, and go round about her;Number the towers thereof;
Mark ye well her bulwarks; {Or, Traverse}Consider her palaces:That ye may tell it to the generation following.
For this God is our God for ever and ever:He will be our guide even unto death.
