Vers

Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised,
In the city of our God, in his holy mountain.

2 wird geladen ... Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth,
Is mount Zion, on the sides of the north,
The city of the great King.

3 wird geladen ... God hath made himself known in her palaces for a {Or, high tower}refuge.

4 wird geladen ... For, lo, the kings assembled themselves,
They {Or, passed away}passed by together.

5 wird geladen ... They saw it, then were they amazed;
They were dismayed, they {Or, were stricken with terror}hasted away.

6 wird geladen ... Trembling took hold of them there,
Pain, as of a woman in travail.

7 wird geladen ... {Or, As with the east wind that breatheth}With the east wind
Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish.

8 wird geladen ... As we have heard, so have we seen
In the city of Jehovah of hosts, in the city of our God:
God will establish it for ever.

In the midst of thy temple.

10 wird geladen ... As is thy name, O God,
So is thy praise unto the ends of the earth:
Thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11 wird geladen ... Let mount Zion be glad,
Let the daughters of Judah rejoice,
Because of thy judgments.

12 wird geladen ... Walk about Zion, and go round about her;
Number the towers thereof;

13 wird geladen ... Mark ye well her bulwarks;

That ye may tell it to the generation following.

He will be our guide even unto death.

And when the children of Ammon saw that they were become odious to David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Beth-rehob, and the Syrians of Zobah, twenty thousand footmen, and the king of Maacah with a thousand men, and the men of Tob twelve thousand men.

2Sam 10,14 wird geladen ... And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, they likewise fled before Abishai, and entered into the city. Then Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.

2Sam 10,17 wird geladen ... And it was told David; and he gathered all Israel together, and passed over the Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought with him.

2Sam 10,18 wird geladen ... And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew of the Syrians the men of seven hundred chariots, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, so that he died there.

2Sam 10,19 wird geladen ... And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.

Jes 7,1 wird geladen ... And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.

Jes 8,8 wird geladen ... and it shall sweep onward into Judah; it shall overflow and pass through; it shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of its wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

Jes 8,10 wird geladen ... Take counsel together, and it shall be brought to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for {Hebrw: immanu El.}God is with us.

Jes 10,8 wird geladen ... For he saith, Are not my princes all of them kings?

Jes 29,5 wird geladen ... But the multitude of thy {Hebrew: strangers.}foes shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be in an instant suddenly.

Jes 29,6 wird geladen ... {Or, There shall be a visitation from Jehovah &c.}She shall be visited of Jehovah of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with whirlwind and tempest, and the flame of a devouring fire.

Jes 29,7 wird geladen ... And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her stronghold, and that distress her, shall be as a dream, a vision of the night.

Jes 29,8 wird geladen ... And it shall be as when a hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

Off 20,8 wird geladen ... and shall come forth to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Off 20,9 wird geladen ... And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down {Some ancient authorities insert from God.}out of heaven, and devoured them.
