4 wird geladen ... Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.

5 wird geladen ... And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaim in Ashteroth-karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in {Or, the plain of Kiriathaim}Shaveh-kiriathaim,

7 wird geladen ... And they returned, and came to En-mishpat (the same is Kadesh), and smote all the {Hebrew: field.}country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazazon-tamar.

8 wird geladen ... And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar); and they set the battle in array against them in the vale of Siddim;

9 wird geladen ... against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five.

10 wird geladen ... Now the vale of Siddim was full of {That is, bitumen pits.}slime pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and they fell there, and they that remained fled to the mountain.

11 wird geladen ... And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.

12 wird geladen ... And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.

13 wird geladen ... And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew: now he dwelt by the {Or, terebinths}oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner. And these were confederate with Abram.

14 wird geladen ... And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he led forth his trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued as far as Dan.

15 wird geladen ... And he divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the {Or, north}left hand of Damascus.

16 wird geladen ... And he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.

17 wird geladen ... And the king of Sodom went out to meet him, after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings that were with him, at the vale of Shaveh (the same is the King's Vale).

18 wird geladen ... And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was priest of {Hebrew: El Elyon.}God Most High.

19 wird geladen ... And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of {Hebrew: El Elyon.}God Most High, {Or, maker}possessor of heaven and earth:

20 wird geladen ... and blessed be {Hebrew: El Elyon.}God Most High, who hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him a tenth of all.

21 wird geladen ... And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

22 wird geladen ... And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand unto Jehovah, {Hebrew: El Elyon.}God Most High, {Or, maker}possessor of heaven and earth,

23 wird geladen ... that I will not take a thread nor a shoe-latchet nor aught that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

24 wird geladen ... {Or, let there be nothing for me: only that &c.}save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men that went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them taken their portion.

1Sam 15,17 wird geladen ... And Samuel said, {Or, Though thou be little….art thou not head of the tribes of Israel?}Though thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel? And Jehovah anointed thee king over Israel;

1Sam 15,18 wird geladen ... and Jehovah sent thee on a journey, and said, Go, and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

1Sam 15,19 wird geladen ... Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of Jehovah, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah?

1Sam 15,20 wird geladen ... And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of Jehovah, and have gone the way which Jehovah sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have {Hebrew: devoted.}utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

1Sam 15,21 wird geladen ... But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the devoted things, to sacrifice unto Jehovah thy God in Gilgal.

1Sam 15,22 wird geladen ... And Samuel said, Hath Jehovah as great delight in burnt-offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

1Sam 15,23 wird geladen ... For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim. Because thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

1Sam 15,24 wird geladen ... And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned; for I have transgressed the commandment of Jehovah, and thy words, because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

1Sam 15,25 wird geladen ... Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship Jehovah.

1Sam 15,26 wird geladen ... And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee; for thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, and Jehovah hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.

1Sam 15,27 wird geladen ... And as Samuel turned about to go away, Saul laid hold upon the skirt of his robe, and it rent.

1Sam 15,28 wird geladen ... And Samuel said unto him, Jehovah hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbor of thine, that is better than thou.

1Sam 15,33 wird geladen ... And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before Jehovah in Gilgal.

And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul will despair of me, to seek me any more in all the borders of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.

1Sam 30,8 wird geladen ... And David inquired of Jehovah, saying, {Or, Shall I pursue}If I pursue after this troop, shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue; for thou shalt surely overtake them, and shalt without fail recover all.

1Sam 30,15 wird geladen ... And David said to him, Wilt thou bring me down to this troop? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliver me up into the hands of my master, and I will bring thee down to this troop.

1Sam 30,16 wird geladen ... And when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad over all the ground, eating and drinking, and dancing, {Or, amidst}because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.

1Sam 30,17 wird geladen ... And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, who rode upon camels and fled.

1Sam 30,19 wird geladen ... And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor anything that they had taken to them: David brought back all.

And David came to the two hundred men, who were so faint that they could not follow David, whom also they had made to abide at the brook Besor; and they went forth to meet David, and to meet the people that were with him: and when David came near {Or, with}to the people, he {Or, asked them of their welfare}saluted them.

Then answered all the wicked men and base fellows, of those that went with David, and said, Because they went not with us, we will not give them aught of the spoil that we have recovered, save to every man his wife and his children, that he may lead them away, and depart.

1Sam 30,23 wird geladen ... Then said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with that which Jehovah hath given unto us, who hath preserved us, and delivered the troop that came against us into our hand.

1Sam 30,24 wird geladen ... And who will hearken unto you in this matter? for as his share is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his share be that tarrieth by the baggage: they shall share alike.

1Sam 30,25 wird geladen ... And it was so from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel unto this day.
