1 wird geladen ... Now Jehovah said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto the land that I will show thee:

2 wird geladen ... and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing:

3 wird geladen ... and I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse: and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

4 wird geladen ... So Abram went, as Jehovah had spoken unto him. And Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

5 wird geladen ... And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran: and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan: and into the land of Canaan they came.

6 wird geladen ... And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Shechem, unto the {Or, terebinth}oak of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.

7 wird geladen ... And Jehovah appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto Jehovah, who appeared unto him.

8 wird geladen ... And he removed from thence unto the mountain on the east of Beth-el, and pitched his tent, having Beth-el on the west, and Ai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto Jehovah, and called upon the name of Jehovah.

9 wird geladen ... And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the {Hebrew: Negeb, the southern tract of Judah.}South.

10 wird geladen ... And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was sore in the land.

11 wird geladen ... And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon:

12 wird geladen ... and it will come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they will say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.

13 wird geladen ... Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister; that it may be well with me for thy sake, and that my soul may live because of thee.

14 wird geladen ... And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.

15 wird geladen ... And the princes of Pharaoh saw her, and praised her to Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.

16 wird geladen ... And he dealt well with Abram for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he-asses, and men-servants, and maid-servants, and she-asses, and camels.

17 wird geladen ... And Jehovah plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.

18 wird geladen ... And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?

19 wird geladen ... why saidst thou, She is my sister, so that I took her to be my wife? Now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.

20 wird geladen ... And Pharoah gave men charge concerning him: and they brought him on the way, and his wife, and all that he had.

Est 2,6 wird geladen ... who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captives that had been carried away with {In 2 Kings 24:6, Jehoiachin.}Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.

Est 2,7 wird geladen ... And he {Hebrew: nourished.}brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maiden was fair and beautiful; and when her father and mother were dead, Mordecai took her for his own daughter.

Est 2,8 wird geladen ... So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was taken into the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.

Est 2,9 wird geladen ... And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with her portions, and the seven maidens who were meet to be given her out of the king's house: and he removed her and her maidens to the best place of the house of the women.

Est 2,10 wird geladen ... Esther had not made known her people nor her kindred; for Mordecai had charged her that she should not make it known.

Est 2,11 wird geladen ... And Mordecai walked every day before the court of the women's house, to know how Esther did, and what would become of her.

Now when the turn of every maiden was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that it had been done to her according to the law for the women twelve months (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odors and with the things for the purifying of the women),

Est 2,13 wird geladen ... then in this wise came the maiden unto the king: Whatsoever she desired was given her to go with her out of the house of the women unto the king's house.

Est 2,14 wird geladen ... In the evening she went, and on the morrow she returned into the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's chamberlain, who kept the concubines: she came in unto the king no more, except the king delighted in her, and she were called by name.

Est 2,15 wird geladen ... Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
