Versliste
To him that smote Egypt in their first-born;For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;
And brought out Israel from among them;For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;
With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm;For his lovingkindness endureth for ever:
To him that divided the Red Sea in sunder;For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;
And made Israel to pass through the midst of it;For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;
But {Hebrew: shook off.}overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea;For his lovingkindness endureth for ever:
Vanity of Idols. {Hebrew: Hallelujah.}Praise ye Jehovah.Praise ye the name of Jehovah;Praise him, O ye servants of Jehovah,
Ye that stand in the house of Jehovah,In the courts of the house of our God.
Praise ye Jehovah; for Jehovah is good:Sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.
For {Hebrew: Jah.}Jehovah hath chosen Jacob unto himself,And Israel for his own possession.
For I know that Jehovah is great,And that our Lord is above all gods.
Whatsoever Jehovah pleased, that hath he done,In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps;
Who causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth;Who maketh lightnings for the rain;Who bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries;
Who smote the first-born of Egypt,Both of man and beast;
Who sent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt,Upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants;
Who smote {Or, great}many nations,And slew mighty kings,
Sihon king of the Amorites,And Og king of Bashan,And all the kingdoms of Canaan,
And gave their land for a heritage,A heritage unto Israel his people.
Thy name, O Jehovah, endureth for ever;Thy memorial name, O Jehovah, throughout all generations.
For Jehovah will judge his people,And repent himself concerning his servants.
The idols of the nations are silver and gold,The work of men's hands.
They have mouths, but they speak not;Eyes have they, but they see not;
They have ears, but they hear not;Neither is there any breath in their mouths.
They that make them shall be like unto them;Yea, every one that trusteth in them.
O house of Israel, bless ye Jehovah:O house of Aaron, bless ye Jehovah:
O house of Levi, bless ye Jehovah:Ye that fear Jehovah, bless ye Jehovah.
Blessed be Jehovah out of Zion,Who dwelleth at Jerusalem. {Hebrew: Hallelujah.}Praise ye Jehovah.
Who smote the first-born of Egypt,Both of man and beast;
Who sent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt,Upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants;

And it came to pass at midnight, that Jehovah smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt, from the first-born of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the first-born of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the first-born of cattle.
Who smote the first-born of Egypt,Both of man and beast;
Thus saith Jehovah, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
{Or, who…the power: They shall lie &c.}who bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty man (they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched as a wick):
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
The beasts of the field shall honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen,
the people which I formed for myself, {Or, they shall set forth}that they might set forth my praise.
Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am Jehovah, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments:
And thou shalt remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah thy God brought thee out thence by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm: therefore Jehovah thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
the great trials which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm, whereby Jehovah thy God brought thee out: so shall Jehovah thy God do unto all the peoples of whom thou art afraid.
and Jehovah brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders;
and didst bring forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;
And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and Jehovah caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
