{Hebrew: Hallelujah.}Praise ye Jehovah.
Praise ye the name of Jehovah;
Praise him, O ye servants of Jehovah,

2 wird geladen ... Ye that stand in the house of Jehovah,
In the courts of the house of our God.

3 wird geladen ... Praise ye Jehovah; for Jehovah is good:
Sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

4 wird geladen ... For {Hebrew: Jah.}Jehovah hath chosen Jacob unto himself,
And Israel for his own possession.

5 wird geladen ... For I know that Jehovah is great,
And that our Lord is above all gods.

6 wird geladen ... Whatsoever Jehovah pleased, that hath he done,
In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps;

7 wird geladen ... Who causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth;
Who maketh lightnings for the rain;
Who bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries;

8 wird geladen ... Who smote the first-born of Egypt,
Both of man and beast;

9 wird geladen ... Who sent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt,
Upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants;

10 wird geladen ... Who smote {Or, great}many nations,
And slew mighty kings,

11 wird geladen ... Sihon king of the Amorites,
And Og king of Bashan,
And all the kingdoms of Canaan,

12 wird geladen ... And gave their land for a heritage,
A heritage unto Israel his people.

13 wird geladen ... Thy name, O Jehovah, endureth for ever;
Thy memorial name, O Jehovah, throughout all generations.

14 wird geladen ... For Jehovah will judge his people,
And repent himself concerning his servants.

15 wird geladen ... The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
The work of men's hands.

16 wird geladen ... They have mouths, but they speak not;
Eyes have they, but they see not;

17 wird geladen ... They have ears, but they hear not;
Neither is there any breath in their mouths.

18 wird geladen ... They that make them shall be like unto them;
Yea, every one that trusteth in them.

19 wird geladen ... O house of Israel, bless ye Jehovah:
O house of Aaron, bless ye Jehovah:

20 wird geladen ... O house of Levi, bless ye Jehovah:
Ye that fear Jehovah, bless ye Jehovah.

21 wird geladen ... Blessed be Jehovah out of Zion,
Who dwelleth at Jerusalem.

Jes 40,19 wird geladen ... The image, a workman hath cast it, and the goldsmith overlayeth it with gold, and casteth for it silver chains.

Jes 40,20 wird geladen ... He that is too impoverished for such an oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a skilful workman to {Or, prepare}set up a graven image, that shall not be moved.

Jes 44,9 wird geladen ... They that fashion a graven image are all of them {Or, confusion}vanity; and the things that they delight in shall not profit; and their own witnesses see not, nor know: that they may be put to shame.

Jes 44,10 wird geladen ... Who hath fashioned a god, or molten an image that is profitable for nothing?

Jes 44,11 wird geladen ... Behold, {Or, all that join themselves thereto}all his fellows shall be put to shame; and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; they shall fear, they shall be put to shame together.

Jes 44,12 wird geladen ... The smith {Or, sharpeneth a tool}maketh an axe, and worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with his strong arm: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth; he drinketh no water, and is faint.

Jes 44,13 wird geladen ... The carpenter stretcheth out a line; he marketh it out with {Or, red ochre}a pencil; he shapeth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compasses, and shapeth it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man, to dwell in a house.

Jes 44,14 wird geladen ... He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the holm-tree and the oak, and strengtheneth for himself one among the trees of the forest: he planteth {Or, an ash}a fir-tree, and the rain doth nourish it.

Jes 44,15 wird geladen ... Then shall it be for a man to burn; and he taketh thereof, and warmeth himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread: yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.

Jes 44,16 wird geladen ... He burneth {Or, the half}part thereof in the fire; with {Or, the half}part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied; yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire.

Jes 44,17 wird geladen ... And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image; he falleth down unto it and worshippeth, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.

Jes 44,18 wird geladen ... They know not, neither do they consider: for he hath {Hebrew: daubed.}shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

Jes 44,19 wird geladen ... And none calleth to mind, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?

Jes 44,20 wird geladen ... He feedeth on ashes; a deceived heart hath turned him aside; and he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

Jes 46,6 wird geladen ... Such as lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, they hire a goldsmith, and he maketh it a god; they fall down, yea, they worship.

Jes 46,7 wird geladen ... They bear it upon the shoulder, they carry it, and set it in its place, and it standeth, from its place shall it not remove: yea, one may cry unto it, yet can it not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.

Jer 10,3 wird geladen ... For the {Hebrew: statues.}customs of the peoples are vanity; for {Or, it is but a tree which one cutteth}one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the axe.

Jer 10,4 wird geladen ... They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Jer 10,5 wird geladen ... They are like a {Or, pillar}palm-tree, of turned work, and speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.

Jer 10,6 wird geladen ... There is none like unto thee, O Jehovah; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.

Jer 10,7 wird geladen ... Who should not fear thee, O King of the nations? for {Or, it beseemeth thee}to thee doth it appertain; forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royal estate, there is none like unto thee.

Jer 10,8 wird geladen ... But they are {Or, through one thing}together brutish and foolish: {Or, the stock is a doctrine of vanities}the instruction of idols! it is but a stock.

Jer 10,9 wird geladen ... There is silver beaten into plates, which is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the artificer and of the hands of the goldsmith; blue and purple for their clothing; they are all the work of skilful men.

Jer 10,10 wird geladen ... But Jehovah is {Or, God in truth}the true God; he is the living God, and an everlasting King: at his wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations are not able to abide his indignation.

Jer 10,11 wird geladen ... {This verse is in Aramaic.}Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, {Or, they shall…under these heavens}these shall perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.

Hab 2,18 wird geladen ... What profiteth the graven image, that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he that fashioneth its form trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?

Hab 2,19 wird geladen ... Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise! Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.

Apg 17,29 wird geladen ... Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that {Or, that which is divine}the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and device of man.
