1 wird geladen ... {Or, The trumpet to thy mouth! As an eagle against the house of Jehovah!}Set the trumpet to thy mouth. As an eagle he cometh against the house of Jehovah, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.

2 wird geladen ... They shall cry unto me, My God, we Israel know thee.

3 wird geladen ... Israel hath cast off that which is good: the enemy shall pursue him.

4 wird geladen ... They have set up kings, but not by me; {Or, they have removed them}they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.

5 wird geladen ... He hath cast off thy calf, O Samaria; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?

6 wird geladen ... For from Israel is even this; the workman made it, and it is no God; yea, the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.

7 wird geladen ... For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: {Or, it hath no stalk}he hath no standing grain; the blade shall yield no meal; if so be it yield, strangers shall swallow it up.

8 wird geladen ... Israel is swallowed up: now are they among the nations as a vessel wherein none delighteth.

9 wird geladen ... For they are gone up to Assyria, like a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired {Hebrew: loves.}lovers.

10 wird geladen ... Yea, though they hire among the nations, now will I gather them; and they {Or, as otherwise read, shall sorrow a little (or, for a little while)}begin to be diminished by reason of the burden of the king of princes.

11 wird geladen ... Because Ephraim hath multiplied altars for sinning, altars have been unto him for sinning.

12 wird geladen ... I wrote for him the ten thousand things of my law; but they are counted as a strange thing.

13 wird geladen ... As for the sacrifices of mine offerings, they sacrifice flesh and eat it; but Jehovah accepteth them not: now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins; they shall return to Egypt.

14 wird geladen ... For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and builded {Or, temples}palaces; and Judah hath multiplied fortified cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the {Or, palaces}castles thereof.

2Kön 15,19 wird geladen ... There came against the land Pul the king of Assyria; and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

2Kön 15,20 wird geladen ... And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

2Kön 15,22 wird geladen ... And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

2Kön 15,23 wird geladen ... In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.

2Kön 15,25 wird geladen ... And Pekah the son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the {Or, palace}castle of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites: and he slew him, and reigned in his stead.

2Kön 15,27 wird geladen ... In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.

2Kön 15,28 wird geladen ... And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherewith he made Israel to sin.

2Kön 15,29 wird geladen ... In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel-beth-maacah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.
