2 wird geladen ... Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher; vanity of vanities, all is vanity.

3 wird geladen ... What profit hath man of all his labor wherein he laboreth under the sun?

4 wird geladen ... One generation goeth, and another generation cometh; but the earth abideth for ever.

5 wird geladen ... The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to its place where it ariseth.

6 wird geladen ... The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it turneth about continually in its course, and the wind returneth again to its circuits.

7 wird geladen ... All the {Or, torrents}rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full; unto the place whither the rivers go, thither they go again.

8 wird geladen ... {Or, All words are feeble}All things are full of weariness; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.

9 wird geladen ... That which hath been is that which shall be; and that which hath been done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

10 wird geladen ... Is there a thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been long ago, in the ages which were before us.

11 wird geladen ... There is no remembrance of the former generations; neither shall there be any remembrance of the latter generations that are to come, among those that shall come after.

12 wird geladen ... I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem.

13 wird geladen ... And I applied my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven: it is a sore travail that God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised therewith.

14 wird geladen ... I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and {Or, a feeding on wind (see Hosea 12:1) Or, vexation of spirit (and so elsewhere)}a striving after wind.

15 wird geladen ... That which is crooked cannot be made straight; and {Hebrew: defect}that which is wanting cannot be numbered.

16 wird geladen ... I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I have gotten me great wisdom {Or, yea, more than all}above all that were before me {Hebrew: over.}in Jerusalem; yea, my heart {Hebrew: hath seen abundantly.}hath had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.

17 wird geladen ... And I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also was a striving after wind.

18 wird geladen ... For in much wisdom is much grief; and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

Pred 2,11 wird geladen ... Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labor that I had labored to do; and, behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was no profit under the sun.

Pred 2,23 wird geladen ... For all his days are but sorrows, and his travail is grief; yea, even in the night his heart taketh no rest. This also is vanity.

Pred 2,26 wird geladen ... For to the man that pleaseth him God giveth wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that pleaseth God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

Pred 3,19 wird geladen ... For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one {Or, spirit}breath; and man hath no preeminence above the beasts: for all is vanity.

Pred 4,4 wird geladen ... Then I saw all labor and every {Or, successful}skilful work, that {Or, it cometh of a man's rivalry with his neighbor}for this a man is envied of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

Pred 4,8 wird geladen ... There is one that is alone, and he hath not a second; yea, he hath neither son nor brother; yet is there no end of all his labor, neither are his eyes satisfied with riches. For whom then, saith he, do I labor, and deprive my soul of good? This also is vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.

Pred 4,16 wird geladen ... {Or, There is no end, in the mind of all the people, to all that hath been before them; they also &c.}There was no end of all the people, even of all them over whom he was: yet they that come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and a striving after wind.

Pred 5,10 wird geladen ... He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance, with increase: this also is vanity.
