O God, keep not thou silence:
Hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

2 wird geladen ... For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult;
And they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

3 wird geladen ... They take crafty counsel against thy people,
And consult together against thy hidden ones.

4 wird geladen ... They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation;
That the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

5 wird geladen ... For they have consulted together with one consent;
Against thee do they make a covenant:

6 wird geladen ... The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites;
Moab, and the {Or, Hagrites See 1 Chronicles 5:10.}Hagarenes;

7 wird geladen ... Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek;
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre:

8 wird geladen ... Assyria also is joined with them;

9 wird geladen ... Do thou unto them as unto Midian,
As to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon;

10 wird geladen ... Who perished at Endor,
Who became as dung for the earth.

11 wird geladen ... Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb;
Yea, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna;

12 wird geladen ... Who said, Let us take to ourselves in possession
The {Or, pastures}habitations of God.

13 wird geladen ... O my God, make them like the whirling dust;
As stubble before the wind.

14 wird geladen ... As the fire that burneth the forest,
And as the flame that setteth the mountains on fire,

15 wird geladen ... So pursue them with thy tempest,
And terrify them with thy storm.

16 wird geladen ... Fill their faces with confusion,
That they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.

17 wird geladen ... Let them be put to shame and dismayed for ever;
Yea, let them be confounded and perish;

18 wird geladen ... That they may know that {Or, thou whose name alone is Jehovah, art &c.}thou alone, whose name is Jehovah,
Art the Most High over all the earth.

Ri 7,25 wird geladen ... And they took the two princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb; and they slew Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb they slew at the winepress of Zeeb, and pursued Midian: and they brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon beyond the Jordan.

Ri 8,15 wird geladen ... And he came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, concerning whom ye did taunt me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thy hand, that we should give bread unto thy men that are weary?

Ri 8,16 wird geladen ... And he took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth.

Ri 8,17 wird geladen ... And he brake down the tower of Penuel, and slew the men of the city.

Ri 8,18 wird geladen ... Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men were they whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king.

Ri 8,19 wird geladen ... And he said, They were my brethren, the sons of my mother: as Jehovah liveth, if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay you.

Ri 8,20 wird geladen ... And he said unto Jether his first-born, Up, and slay them. But the youth drew not his sword; for he feared, because he was yet a youth.

Ri 8,21 wird geladen ... Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us; for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took the crescents that were on their camels' necks.
