A Psalm of David.
Unto thee, O Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.
 O my God, in thee have I trusted,
Let me not be put to shame;
Let not mine enemies triumph over me.
 Yea, none that wait for thee shall be put to shame:
They shall be put to shame that deal treacherously without cause.
 Show me thy ways, O Jehovah;
Teach me thy paths.
 Guide me in thy truth, and teach me;
For thou art the God of my salvation;
For thee do I wait all the day.
 Remember, O Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindness;
For they have been ever of old.
 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions:
According to thy lovingkindness remember thou me,
For thy goodness' sake, O Jehovah.
 Good and upright is Jehovah:
Therefore will he instruct sinners in the way.
 The meek will he guide in justice;
And the meek will he teach his way.
 All the paths of Jehovah are lovingkindness and truth
Unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
 For thy name's sake, O Jehovah,
Pardon mine iniquity, for it is great.
 What man is he that feareth Jehovah?
Him shall he instruct in the way that he shall choose.
 His soul shall dwell at ease;
And his seed shall inherit the land.
 The  {Or, counsel   Or, secret}friendship of Jehovah is with them that fear him;
 {Or, And his covenat, to make them know it}And he will show them his covenant.
 Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah;
For he will pluck my feet out of the net.
 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me;
For I am desolate and afflicted.
 The troubles of my heart are {Or, as otherwise read, relieve thou, And bring me &c.}enlarged:
Oh bring thou me out of my distresses.
 Consider mine affliction and my travail;
And forgive all my sins.
 Consider mine enemies, for they are many;
And they hate me with cruel hatred.
 Oh keep my soul, and deliver me:
Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in thee.
 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
For I wait for thee.
 Redeem Israel, O God,
Out of all of his troubles.
Querverweise zu Psalm 25,21 Ps 25,21
Jehovah ministereth judgment to the peoples:Judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and to mine integrity {Or, be it unto me}that is in me.
Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness;According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
For I have kept the ways of Jehovah,And have not wickedly departed from my God.
For all his ordinances were before me,And I put not away his statutes from me.
I was also perfect with him,And I kept myself from mine iniquity.
Therefore hath Jehovah recompensed me according to my righteousness,According to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
A Psalm of David.Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity:I have trusted also in Jehovah {Or, I shall not slide}without wavering.
But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity:Redeem me, and be merciful unto me.
And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity,And settest me before thy face for ever.
Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand; for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in my hand, and I have not sinned against thee, though thou {Or, layest wait for}huntest after my life to take it.
Jehovah judge between me and thee, and Jehovah avenge me of thee; but my hand shall not be upon thee.
As saith the proverb of the ancients, Out of the wicked cometh forth wickedness; but my hand shall not be upon thee.
And Jehovah will render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; forasmuch as Jehovah delivered thee into my hand to-day, and I would not put forth my hand against Jehovah's anointed.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them;But the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.
A righteous man that walketh in his integrity,Blessed are his children after him.
My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, and they have not hurt me; forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
{Or, On this account}Herein I also exercise myself to have a conscience void of offence toward God and men always.
But Paul said, I am standing before Cæsar's judgment-seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou also very well knowest.
If then I am a wrong-doer, and have committed anything worthy of death, I refuse not to die; but if none of those things is true whereof these accuse me, no man can {Greek: grant me by favor.}give me up unto them. I appeal unto Cæsar.
