And to which of the holy ones wilt thou turn?

2 wird geladen ... For vexation killeth the foolish man,
And {Or, indignation}jealousy slayeth the silly one.

3 wird geladen ... I have seen the foolish taking root:
But suddenly I cursed his habitation.

4 wird geladen ... His children are far from safety,
And they are crushed in the gate,
Neither is there any to deliver them:

5 wird geladen ... Whose harvest the hungry eateth up,
And taketh it even out of the thorns;
And {According to Vulgate, the thirsty swallow up.}the snare gapeth for their substance.

6 wird geladen ... For {Or, iniquity See chapter 4:8.}affliction cometh not forth from the dust,
Neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;

7 wird geladen ... But man is born unto trouble,
As {Hebrew: the sons of flame (or, of lightning).}the sparks fly upward.

8 wird geladen ... But as for me, I would seek unto God,
And unto God would I commit my cause;

9 wird geladen ... Who doeth great things and unsearchable,
Marvellous things without number:

10 wird geladen ... Who giveth rain upon the earth,
And sendeth waters upon the fields;

11 wird geladen ... So that he setteth up on high those that are low,
And those that mourn are exalted to safety.

12 wird geladen ... He frustrateth the devices of the crafty,
So that their hands {Or, can perform nothing of worth}cannot perform their enterprise.

13 wird geladen ... He taketh the wise in their own craftiness;
And the counsel of the cunning is carried headlong.

14 wird geladen ... They meet with darkness in the day-time,
And grope at noonday as in the night.

15 wird geladen ... But he saveth from the sword {Hebrew: out of their mouth.}of their mouth,
Even the needy from the hand of the mighty.

16 wird geladen ... So the poor hath hope,
And iniquity stoppeth her mouth.

17 wird geladen ... Behold, happy is the man whom God {Or, reproveth}correcteth:
Therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty.

18 wird geladen ... For he maketh sore, and bindeth up;
He woundeth, and his hands make whole.

19 wird geladen ... He will deliver thee in six troubles;
Yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.

20 wird geladen ... In famine he will redeem thee from death;
And in war from the power of the sword.

21 wird geladen ... Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue;
Neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.

22 wird geladen ... At destruction and dearth thou shalt laugh;
Neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

23 wird geladen ... For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field;
And the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.

24 wird geladen ... And thou shalt know that thy tent is in peace;
And thou shalt visit thy {Or, habitation}fold, and {Or, shall not err}shalt miss nothing.

25 wird geladen ... Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great,
And thine offspring as the grass of the earth.

26 wird geladen ... Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age,
Like as a shock of grain cometh in in its season.

27 wird geladen ... Lo this, we have searched it, so it is;
Hear it, and know thou it {Hebrew: for thyself.}for thy good.

Est 6,9 wird geladen ... and let the apparel and the horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man therewith whom the king delighteth to honor, and cause him to ride on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honor.

Est 6,10 wird geladen ... Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.

Est 6,11 wird geladen ... Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and caused him to ride through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honor.

Est 7,10 wird geladen ... So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.
