He that soweth iniquity shall reap {Or, vanity}calamity;And the rod of his wrath shall fail.
He that hath a {Hebrew: good.}bountiful eye shall be blessed;For he giveth of his bread to the poor.
Cast out the scoffer, and contention will go out;Yea, strife and ignominy will cease.
He that loveth {Another reading is, the pure of heart.}pureness of heart, {Or, Hath grace in his lips Or, That hath grace in his lips}For the grace of his lips the king will be his friend.
The eyes of Jehovah preserve him that hath knowledge;But he overthroweth the words of the treacherous man.
The sluggard saith, There is a lion without;I shall be slain in the streets.
The mouth of strange women is a deep pit;He {Or, against whom Jehovah hath indignation}that is abhorred of Jehovah shall fall therein.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life.
