Versliste
But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me, even from my mother's womb, and called me through his grace,
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found {Or, void}vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
י YODH.Thy hands have made me and {Or, established}fashioned me:Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
My times are in thy hand:Deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
Concerning which salvation the prophets sought and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
{The Greek text in this clause is somewhat uncertain.}who by the Holy Spirit, by the mouth of our father David thy servant, didst say, {Psalm 2:1, 2}Why did the {Greek: nations.}Gentiles rage,And the peoples {Or, meditate}imagine vain things?

And he said, Hear now my words: if there be a prophet among you, I Jehovah will make myself known unto him in a vision, I will speak with him in a dream.
My servant Moses is not so; he is faithful in all my house:
with him will I speak mouth to mouth, even manifestly, and not in dark speeches; and the form of Jehovah shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?
And Jehovah spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his minister Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the Tent.
And Jehovah opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?

And the angel of Jehovah said unto Balaam, Go with the men; but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.
And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to speak anything? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak.
And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which Jehovah putteth in my mouth?

Now this he said not of himself: but, being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation;
For no prophecy ever {Greek: was brought.}came by the will of man: but men spake from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit.
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of Jehovah your God which I command you.
{[Chapter 13:1 in Hebrew]}What thing soever I command you, that shall ye observe to do: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
