1 wird geladen ... Now the apostles and the brethren that were in Judæa heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

2 wird geladen ... And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,

3 wird geladen ... saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

4 wird geladen ... But Peter began, and expounded the matter unto them in order, saying,

5 wird geladen ... I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, a certain vessel descending, as it were a great sheet let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even unto me:

6 wird geladen ... upon which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw the fourfooted beasts of the earth and wild beasts and creeping things and birds of the heaven.

7 wird geladen ... And I heard also a voice saying unto me, Rise, Peter; kill and eat.

8 wird geladen ... But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath ever entered into my mouth.

9 wird geladen ... But a voice answered the second time out of heaven, What God hath cleansed, make not thou common.

10 wird geladen ... And this was done thrice: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

11 wird geladen ... And behold, forthwith three men stood before the house in which we were, having been sent from Cæsarea unto me.

12 wird geladen ... And the Spirit bade me go with them, making no distinction. And these six brethren also accompanied me; and we entered into the man's house:

13 wird geladen ... and he told us how he had seen the angel standing in his house, and saying, Send to Joppa, and fetch Simon, whose surname is Peter;

14 wird geladen ... who shall speak unto thee words, whereby thou shalt be saved, thou and all thy house.

15 wird geladen ... And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, even as on us at the beginning.

16 wird geladen ... And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized {Or, with}in the Holy Spirit.

17 wird geladen ... If then God gave unto them the like gift as he did also unto us, when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I could withstand God?

18 wird geladen ... And when they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then to the Gentiles also hath God granted repentance unto life.

19 wird geladen ... They therefore that were scattered abroad upon the tribulation that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phoenicia, and Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to none save only to Jews.

20 wird geladen ... But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the {Many ancient authorities read Grecian Jews. See chapter 6:1.}Greeks also, {See marginal note on chapter 5:42.}preaching the Lord Jesus.

21 wird geladen ... And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number that believed turned unto the Lord.

22 wird geladen ... And the report concerning them came to the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas as far as Antioch:

23 wird geladen ... who, when he was come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad; and he exhorted them all, {Some ancient authorities read that they would cleave unto the purpose of their heart in the Lord.}that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord:

24 wird geladen ... for he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

25 wird geladen ... And he went forth to Tarsus to seek for Saul;

26 wird geladen ... and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that even for a whole year they were gathered together {Greek: in.}with the church, and taught much people, and that the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

27 wird geladen ... Now in these days there came down prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

28 wird geladen ... And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be a great famine over all {Greek: the inhabited earth.}the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius.

29 wird geladen ... And the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send {Greek: for ministry. Compare chapter 6:1.}relief unto the brethren that dwelt in Judea:

30 wird geladen ... which also they did, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.

Jos 22,23 wird geladen ... that we have built us an altar to turn away from following Jehovah; or if to offer thereon burnt-offering or meal-offering, or if to offer sacrifices of peace-offerings thereon, let Jehovah himself require it;

Jos 22,24 wird geladen ... and if we have not rather out of carefulness done this, and of purpose, saying, In time to come your children might speak unto our children, saying, What have ye to do with Jehovah, the God of Israel?

Jos 22,25 wird geladen ... for Jehovah hath made the Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben and children of Gad; ye have no portion in Jehovah: so might your children make our children cease from fearing Jehovah.

Jos 22,26 wird geladen ... Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice:

Jos 22,27 wird geladen ... but it shall be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we may do the service of Jehovah before him with our burnt-offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace-offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no portion in Jehovah.

Jos 22,28 wird geladen ... Therefore said we, It shall be, when they so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we shall say, Behold the pattern of the altar of Jehovah, which our fathers made, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice; but it is a witness between us and you.

Jos 22,29 wird geladen ... Far be it from us that we should rebel against Jehovah, and turn away this day from following Jehovah, to build an altar for burnt-offering, for meal-offering, or for sacrifice, besides the altar of Jehovah our God that is before his tabernacle.

Jos 22,30 wird geladen ... And when Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation, even the heads of the thousands of Israel that were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spake, it pleased them well.

Jos 22,31 wird geladen ... And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we know that Jehovah is in the midst of us, because ye have not committed this trespass against Jehovah: now have ye delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of Jehovah.
