1 wird geladen ... Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy {Many ancient authorities add and two: and so in verse 17}others, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself was about to come.

2 wird geladen ... And he said unto them, The harvest indeed is plenteous, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth laborers into his harvest.

4 wird geladen ... Carry no purse, no wallet, no shoes; and salute no man on the way.

5 wird geladen ... And into whatsoever house ye shall {Or, enter first, say}enter, first say, Peace be to this house.

6 wird geladen ... And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon {Or, it}him: but if not, it shall turn to you again.

7 wird geladen ... And in that same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

8 wird geladen ... And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:

9 wird geladen ... and heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

10 wird geladen ... But into whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets thereof and say,

11 wird geladen ... Even the dust from your city, that cleaveth to our feet, we wipe off against you: nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh.

12 wird geladen ... I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

13 wird geladen ... Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the {Greek: powers.}mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

14 wird geladen ... But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you.

15 wird geladen ... And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt be brought down unto Hades.

16 wird geladen ... He that heareth you heareth me; and he that rejecteth you rejecteth me; and he that rejecteth me rejecteth him that sent me.

17 wird geladen ... And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name.

18 wird geladen ... And he said unto them, I beheld Satan fallen as lightning from heaven.

19 wird geladen ... Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.

20 wird geladen ... Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

21 wird geladen ... In that same hour he rejoiced {Or, by}in the Holy Spirit, and said, I {Or, praise}thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; {Or, that}for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight.

22 wird geladen ... All things have been delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth who the Son is, save the Father; and who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son willeth to reveal him.

23 wird geladen ... And turning to the disciples, he said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:

24 wird geladen ... for I say unto you, that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not.

25 wird geladen ... And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and made trial of him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26 wird geladen ... And he said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

27 wird geladen ... And he answering said, {Deuteronomy 6:5.}Thou shalt love the Lord thy God {Greek: from.}with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; {Leviticus 19:18}and thy neighbor as thyself.

28 wird geladen ... And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

29 wird geladen ... But he, desiring to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

30 wird geladen ... Jesus made answer and said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho; and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31 wird geladen ... And by chance a certain priest was going down that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32 wird geladen ... And in like manner a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side.

33 wird geladen ... But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he was moved with compassion,

34 wird geladen ... and came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on them oil and wine; and he set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 wird geladen ... And on the morrow he took out two {See marginal note on chapter 7:41.}shillings, and gave them to the host, and said, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, I, when I come back again, will repay thee.

36 wird geladen ... Which of these three, thinkest thou, proved neighbor unto him that fell among the robbers?

37 wird geladen ... And he said, He that showed mercy on him. And Jesus said unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

38 wird geladen ... Now as they went on their way, he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

39 wird geladen ... And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at the Lord's feet, and heard his word.

40 wird geladen ... But Martha was {Greek: distracted.}cumbered about much serving; and she came up to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister did leave me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

41 wird geladen ... But the Lord answered and said unto her, {A few ancient authorities read Martha, Martha, thou art troubled. Mary hath chosen &c.}Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things:

42 wird geladen ... {Many ancient authorities read but few things are needful, or one.}but one thing is needful: for Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Jes 23,3 wird geladen ... And on great waters the seed of the Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue; and she was the mart of nations.

Jes 23,4 wird geladen ... Be thou ashamed, O Sidon; for the sea hath spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying, I have not travailed, nor brought forth, neither have I nourished young men, nor brought up virgins.

Jes 23,5 wird geladen ... {Or, As at the report concerning Egypt, so &c.}When the report cometh to Egypt, they shall be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.

Jes 23,6 wird geladen ... Pass ye over to Tarshish; wail, ye inhabitants of the coast.

Jes 23,7 wird geladen ... Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is {Or, of ancient days? her own feet shall carry &c.}of ancient days, whose feet carried her afar off to sojourn?

Jes 23,8 wird geladen ... Who hath purposed this against Tyre, the bestower of crowns, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honorable of the earth?

Jes 23,9 wird geladen ... Jehovah of hosts hath purposed it, to {Hebrew: profane.}stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

Jes 23,10 wird geladen ... {Or, Overflow}Pass through thy land as the Nile, O daughter of Tarshish; there is no {Hebrew: girdle.}restraint any more.

Jes 23,11 wird geladen ... He hath stretched out his hand over the sea, he hath shaken the kingdoms: Jehovah hath given commandment concerning {Or, the merchant people}Canaan, to destroy the strongholds thereof.

Jes 23,12 wird geladen ... And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon: arise, pass over to Kittim; even there shalt thou have no rest.

Jes 23,13 wird geladen ... Behold, the land of the Chaldeans: {This people is no more; the Assyrians hath appointed it for the beasts of the wilderness.}this people was not; the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness; they set up their {Or, the towers thereof}towers; they {Or, raised up}overthrew the palaces thereof; they made it a ruin.

Jes 23,15 wird geladen ... And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years {Or, shall Tyre sing as a harlot}it shall be unto Tyre as in the song of the harlot.

Jes 23,16 wird geladen ... Take a harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.

Jes 23,17 wird geladen ... And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that Jehovah will visit Tyre, and she shall return to her hire, and shall play the harlot with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.

Jes 23,18 wird geladen ... And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to Jehovah: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before Jehovah, to eat sufficiently, and for {Or, stately}durable clothing.

Hes 26,2 wird geladen ... Son of man, because that Tyre hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gate of the peoples; she is turned unto me; I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste:

Hes 26,3 wird geladen ... therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I am against thee, O Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth its waves to come up.

Hes 26,4 wird geladen ... And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her a bare rock.

Hes 26,5 wird geladen ... She shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah; and she shall become a spoil to the nations.

Hes 26,6 wird geladen ... And her daughters that are in the field shall be slain with the sword: and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

Hes 26,7 wird geladen ... For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will bring upon Tyre Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and a company, and much people.

Hes 26,8 wird geladen ... He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field; and he shall make forts against thee, and cast up a mound against thee, and raise up the buckler against thee.

Hes 26,9 wird geladen ... And he shall set his battering engines against thy walls, and with his {Hebrew: swords.}axes he shall break down thy towers.

Hes 26,10 wird geladen ... By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the {Or, wheels}wagons, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach.

Hes 26,11 wird geladen ... With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets; he shall slay thy people with the sword; and the {Or, obelisks}pillars of thy strength shall go down to the ground.

Hes 26,12 wird geladen ... And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise; and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses; and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the waters.

Hes 26,13 wird geladen ... And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.

Hes 26,14 wird geladen ... And I will make thee a bare rock; thou shalt be a place for the spreading of nets; thou shalt be built no more: for I Jehovah have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Hes 26,15 wird geladen ... Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to Tyre: shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded groan, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?

Hes 26,16 wird geladen ... Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay aside their robes, and strip off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with {Hebrew: tremblings.}trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble every moment, and be astonished at thee.

And they shall take up a lamentation over thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited {Or, being won from the seas}by seafaring men, the renowned city, that was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, that caused their terror to be on all that {Or, inhabited her}dwelt there!
