O Israel, return unto Jehovah thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
Take with you words, and return unto Jehovah: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and {Or, receive us graciously}accept that which is good: so will we render as bullocks the offering of our lips.
Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods; for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.
I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for mine anger is turned away from him.
I will be as the dew unto Israel; he shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.
His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, and his smell as Lebanon.
They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the grain, and blossom as the vine: {Or, his memorial}the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.
{Or, O Ephraim, what &c.}Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have answered, and will regard him: I am like a green fir-tree; from me is thy fruit found.
Who is wise, that he may understand these things? prudent, that he may know them? for the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them; but transgressors shall fall therein.
Querverweise zu Hosea 14,7 Hos 14,7
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High {Or, That abideth…Almighty; Even I &c.}Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
After two days will he revive us: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live before him.
I will be as the dew unto Israel; he shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.
As the apple-tree among the trees of the wood,So is my beloved among the sons.I {Hebrew: delighted and sat down &c.}sat down under his shadow with great delight,And his fruit was sweet to my taste.
Wilt thou not quicken us again,That thy people may rejoice in thee?
I went down into the garden of nuts,To see the green plants of the valley,To see whether the vine budded,And the pomegranates were in flower.
Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me;Thou wilt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of mine enemies,And thy right hand will save me.
For there shall be the seed of peace; the vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things.
And a man shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a great rock in a weary land.
For as the earth bringeth forth its bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he die, yet shall he live;
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat fall into the earth and die, it abideth by itself alone; but if it die, it beareth much fruit.
Thou foolish one, that which thou thyself sowest is not quickened except it die:
and that which thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be, but a bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other kind;
but God giveth it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.
