Vers

1 wird geladen ... Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he continually multiplieth lies and desolation; and they make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.

2 wird geladen ... Jehovah hath also a controversy with Judah, and will {Hebrew: visit upon.}punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.

4 wird geladen ... yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him at Beth-el, and there he spake with us,

6 wird geladen ... Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep kindness and justice, and wait for thy God continually.

8 wird geladen ... And Ephraim said, Surely I am become rich, I have found me wealth: in all my labors they shall find in me no iniquity that were sin.

9 wird geladen ... But I am Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt; I will yet again make thee to dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.

10 wird geladen ... I have also spoken unto the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and {Hebrew: by the hand.}by the ministry of the prophets have I used similitudes.

11 wird geladen ... Is Gilead iniquity? they are altogether false; in Gilgal they sacrifice bullocks; yea, their altars {Or, shall be}are as heaps in the furrows of the field.

12 wird geladen ... And Jacob fled into the field of Aram, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.

13 wird geladen ... And by a prophet Jehovah brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he {Or, kept}preserved.

14 wird geladen ... Ephraim hath provoked to anger most bitterly: therefore shall his blood be left upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.

1Mo 28,5 wird geladen ... And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Paddan-aram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the {Hebrew: Aramean.}Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.

1Mo 28,6 wird geladen ... Now Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Paddan-aram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;

1Mo 28,8 wird geladen ... and Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;

1Mo 28,9 wird geladen ... and Esau went unto Ishmael, and took, besides the wives that he had, Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebaioth, to be his wife.

1Mo 28,10 wird geladen ... And Jacob went out from Beer-sheba, and went toward Haran.

1Mo 28,11 wird geladen ... And he lighted upon {Hebrew: the place.}a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took one of the stones of the place, and put it under his head, and lay down in that place to sleep.

1Mo 28,12 wird geladen ... And he dreamed; and behold, a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold, the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

1Mo 28,13 wird geladen ... And, behold, Jehovah stood {Or, beside him}above it, and said, I am Jehovah, the God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

1Mo 28,14 wird geladen ... and thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt {Hebrew: break forth.}spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

1Mo 28,15 wird geladen ... And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee, whithersoever thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

1Mo 28,16 wird geladen ... And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely Jehovah is in this place; and I knew it not.

1Mo 28,17 wird geladen ... And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

1Mo 28,18 wird geladen ... And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put under his head, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

1Mo 28,20 wird geladen ... And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,

1Mo 28,21 wird geladen ... so that I come again to my father's house in peace, {Or, then shall Jehovah be my God, and this stone &c.}and Jehovah will be my God,

1Mo 28,22 wird geladen ... then this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.

1Mo 32,28 wird geladen ... And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but {That is, He who striveth with God, or, God striveth.}Israel: for thou hast {Or, had power with}striven with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
