2 wird geladen ... to whom the word of Jehovah came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

3 wird geladen ... It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.

4 wird geladen ... Now the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

5 wird geladen ... Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I have appointed thee a prophet unto the nations.

6 wird geladen ... Then said I, Ah, Lord Jehovah! behold, I know not how to speak; for I am a child.

7 wird geladen ... But Jehovah said unto me, Say not, I am a child; for {Or, on whatsoever errand}to whomsoever I shall send thee thou shalt go, and whatsoever I shall command thee thou shalt speak.

8 wird geladen ... Be not afraid because of them; for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith Jehovah.

9 wird geladen ... Then Jehovah put forth his hand, and touched my mouth; and Jehovah said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth:

10 wird geladen ... see, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.

11 wird geladen ... Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of {Hebrew: shaked.}an almond-tree.

12 wird geladen ... Then said Jehovah unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I {Hebrew: shoked.}watch over my word to perform it.

13 wird geladen ... And the word of Jehovah came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a boiling caldron; and the face thereof is from the north.

14 wird geladen ... Then Jehovah said unto me, Out of the north evil {Hebrew: shall be opened.}shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.

15 wird geladen ... For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith Jehovah; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.

16 wird geladen ... And I will {Or, speak with them of my judgements}utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

17 wird geladen ... Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at them, lest I dismay thee before them.

18 wird geladen ... For, behold, I have made thee this day a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and brazen walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.

19 wird geladen ... And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to deliver thee.

2Kön 22,5 wird geladen ... and let them deliver it into the hand of the workmen that have the oversight of the house of Jehovah; and let them give it to the workmen that are in the house of Jehovah, to repair the breaches of the house,

2Kön 22,6 wird geladen ... unto the carpenters, and to the builders, and to the masons, and for buying timber and hewn stone to repair the house.

2Kön 22,7 wird geladen ... Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand; for they dealt faithfully.

2Kön 22,8 wird geladen ... And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of Jehovah. And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

2Kön 22,9 wird geladen ... And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have {Or, poured out}emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of the workmen that have the oversight of the house of Jehovah.

2Kön 22,10 wird geladen ... And Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.

2Kön 22,11 wird geladen ... And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes.

2Kön 22,12 wird geladen ... And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Micaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king's servant, saying,

Go ye, inquire of Jehovah for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is the wrath of Jehovah that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is {Or, enjoined us}written concerning us.

So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asaiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the {Hebrew: Mishneh.}second quarter); and they communed with her.

2Kön 22,19 wird geladen ... because thy heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before Jehovah, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become {Or, an astonishment}a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith Jehovah.

2Kön 22,20 wird geladen ... Therefore, behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again.

Hos 1,1 wird geladen ... The word of Jehovah that came unto Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

2Chr 34,1 wird geladen ... Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign; and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem.

2Chr 34,2 wird geladen ... And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, and walked in the ways of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

2Chr 34,3 wird geladen ... For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the Asherim, and the graven images, and the molten images.

And they brake down the altars of the Baalim in his presence; and the sun-images that were on high above them he hewed down; and the Asherim, and the graven images, and the molten images, he brake in pieces, and made dust of them, and strewed it upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them.

2Chr 34,5 wird geladen ... And he burnt the bones of the priests upon their altars, and purged Judah and Jerusalem.

2Chr 34,6 wird geladen ... And so did he in the cities of Manasseh and Ephraim and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, {Or, as otherwise read, with their axes The Hebrew is obscure.}in their ruins round about.

2Chr 34,7 wird geladen ... And he brake down the altars, and beat the Asherim and the graven images into powder, and hewed down all the sun-images throughout all the land of Israel, and returned to Jerusalem.

2Chr 34,8 wird geladen ... Now in the eighteenth year of his reign, when he had purged the land and the house, he sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, and Maaseiah the governor of the city, and Joah the son of Joahaz the {Or, chronicler}recorder, to repair the house of Jehovah his God.

And they came to Hilkiah the high priest, and delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites, the keepers of the threshold, had gathered of the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, and of all the remnant of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin, {Another reading is, and they returned to Jerusalem.}and of the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

2Chr 34,11 wird geladen ... even to the carpenters and to the builders gave they it, to buy hewn stone, and timber for couplings, and to make beams for the houses which the kings of Judah had destroyed.

And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them were Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, {Or, to preside over it}to set it forward; and others of the Levites, all that were skilful with instruments of music.

2Chr 34,15 wird geladen ... And Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of Jehovah. And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan.

2Chr 34,16 wird geladen ... And Shaphan carried the book to the king, and moreover brought back word to the king, saying, All that was committed to thy servants, they are doing.

2Chr 34,17 wird geladen ... And they have {Or, poured out}emptied out the money that was found in the house of Jehovah, and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers, and into the hand of the workmen.

2Chr 34,18 wird geladen ... And Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read therein before the king.

2Chr 34,19 wird geladen ... And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the law, that he rent his clothes.

2Chr 34,20 wird geladen ... And the king commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and {In 2 Kings 22:12, Achbor the son of Micaiah.}Abdon the son of Micah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king's servant, saying,

Go ye, inquire of Jehovah for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found; for great is the wrath of Jehovah that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of Jehovah, to do according unto all that is written in this book.

So Hilkiah, and they whom the king had commanded, went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of {In 2 Kings 22:14, Tikvah.}Tokhath, the son of {In 2 Kings 22:14, Harhas.}Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the {Hebrew: Mishneh.}second quarter); and they spake to her to that effect.

2Chr 34,24 wird geladen ... Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Judah.

2Chr 34,25 wird geladen ... Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore is my wrath poured out upon this place, and it shall not be quenched.

2Chr 34,26 wird geladen ... But unto the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of Jehovah, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: As touching the words which thou hast heard,

2Chr 34,28 wird geladen ... Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof. And they brought back word to the king.

2Chr 34,29 wird geladen ... Then the king sent and gathered together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.

2Chr 34,30 wird geladen ... And the king went up to the house of Jehovah, and all the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, both great and small: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of Jehovah.

2Chr 34,31 wird geladen ... And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before Jehovah, to walk after Jehovah, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book.

2Chr 34,32 wird geladen ... And he caused all that were found in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand to it. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.

2Chr 34,33 wird geladen ... And Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel, and made all that were found in Israel to serve, even to serve Jehovah their God. All his days they departed not from following Jehovah, the God of their fathers.
