A Psalm of praise; of David
I will extol thee, my God, O King;
And I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
Every day will I bless thee;
And I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised;
And his greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall laud thy works to another,
And shall declare thy mighty acts.
Of the glorious majesty of thine honor,
And of thy wondrous works, will I meditate.
And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts;
And I will declare thy greatness.
They shall utter the memory of thy great goodness,
And shall sing of thy righteousness.
Jehovah is gracious, and merciful;
Slow to anger, and of great lovingkindness.
Jehovah is good to all;
And his tender mercies are over all his works.
All thy works shall give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah;
And thy saints shall bless thee.
They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom,
And talk of thy power;
To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts,
And the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.
Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
Jehovah upholdeth all that fall,
And raiseth up all those that are bowed down.
The eyes of all wait for thee;
And thou givest them their food in due season.
Thou openest thy hand,
And {Or, satisfiest every living thing with favor}satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
Jehovah is righteous in all his ways,
And gracious in all his works.
Jehovah is nigh unto all them that call upon him,
To all that call upon him in truth.
He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him;
He also will hear their cry and will save them.
Jehovah preserveth all them that love him;
But all the wicked will he destroy.
My mouth shall speak the praise of Jehovah;
And let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Querverweise zu Psalm 145,19 Ps 145,19
Grant thee thy heart's desire,And fulfil all thy counsel.
The righteous cried, and Jehovah heard,And delivered them out of all their troubles.
Oh fear Jehovah, ye his saints;For there is no want to them that fear him.
But the salvation of the righteous is of Jehovah;He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God!And the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.
And Jehovah helpeth them, and rescueth them;He rescueth them from the wicked, and saveth them,Because they have taken refuge in him.
They shall be {Hebrew: watered.}abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house;And thou wilt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him;I will be with him in trouble:I will deliver him, and honor him.
{Or, So shall thou have thy delight in &c.}Delight thyself also in Jehovah;And he will give thee the {Hebrew: petitions.}desires of thy heart.
They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil;And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
The hungry he hath filled with good things;And the rich he hath sent empty away.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be made full.
that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be strong to apprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fulness of God.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
