For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm, a Song.
God be merciful unto us, and bless us,
And cause his face to shine {Hebrew: with us.}upon us; [Selah
 That thy way may be known upon earth,
Thy salvation among all nations.
 Let the peoples  {Or, give thanks unto}praise thee, O God;
Let all the peoples praise thee.
 Oh let the nations be glad and sing for joy;
For thou wilt judge the peoples with equity,
And {Hebrew: lead.}govern the nations upon earth. [Selah
 Let the peoples praise thee, O God;
Let all the peoples praise thee.
 The earth hath yielded its increase:
God, even our own God, will bless us.
 God will bless us;
And all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
Querverweise zu Psalm 67,3 Ps 67,3
Let the peoples praise thee, O God;Let all the peoples praise thee.
I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations:Therefore shall the peoples give thee thanks for ever and ever.
Oh let not the oppressed return ashamed:Let the poor and needy praise thy name.
Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee;And let thine ordinances help me.
Bring my soul out of prison,That I may give thanks unto thy name:The righteous shall {Or, crown themselves because of me}compass me about;For thou wilt deal bountifully with me.
For Sheol cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee:They that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day:The father to the children shall make known thy truth.
