Vers

1 wird geladen ... {Or, Why is it, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, That they who know him see not his days? }Why are times not laid up by the Almighty?
And why do not they that know him see his days?

2 wird geladen ... There are that remove the landmarks;
They violently take away flocks, and feed them.

3 wird geladen ... They drive away the ass of the fatherless;
They take the widow's ox for a pledge.

4 wird geladen ... They turn the needy out of the way:
The {Or, meek}poor of the earth all hide themselves.

5 wird geladen ... Behold, as wild asses in the desert
They go forth to their work, seeking diligently for {Hebrew: prey.}food;
The wilderness yieldeth them bread for their children.

6 wird geladen ... They cut {Or, his}their provender in the field;
And they glean the vintage of the wicked.

7 wird geladen ... They lie all night naked without clothing,
And have no covering in the cold.

8 wird geladen ... They are wet with the showers of the mountains,
And embrace the rock for want of a shelter.

9 wird geladen ... There are that pluck the fatherless from the breast,
And {Or, take in pledge that which is on the poor}take a pledge of the poor;

10 wird geladen ... So that they go about naked without clothing,
And being hungry they carry the sheaves.

11 wird geladen ... They make oil within the walls of these men;
They tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.

12 wird geladen ... From out of the {Hebrew: city of men.}populous city men groan,
And the soul of the wounded crieth out:
Yet God regardeth not the folly.

13 wird geladen ... These are of them that rebel against the light;
They know not the ways thereof,
Nor abide in the paths thereof.

14 wird geladen ... The murderer riseth with the light;
He killeth the poor and needy;
And in the night he is as a thief.

15 wird geladen ... The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight,
Saying, No eye shall see me:
And he {Or, putteth a covering on his face}disguiseth his face.

16 wird geladen ... In the dark they dig through houses:
{Or, Which they had marked for themselves}They shut themselves up in the day-time;
They know not the light.

17 wird geladen ... For {Or, thick darkness is to all of them as the morning; For they &c.}the morning is to all of them as thick darkness;
For they know the terrors of the thick darkness.

18 wird geladen ... {Or, Ye say, Swiftly &c. Hebrew: Swift is he &c.}Swiftly they pass away upon the face of the waters;
Their portion is cursed in the earth:
They turn not into the way of the vineyards.

19 wird geladen ... Drought and heat consume the snow waters:
So doth Sheol those that have sinned.

20 wird geladen ... The womb shall forget him;
The worm shall feed sweetly on him;
He shall be no more remembered;
And unrighteousness shall be broken {Or, as a tree; even he that devoureth &c.}as a tree.

21 wird geladen ... He devoureth the barren that beareth not,
And doeth not good to the widow.

22 wird geladen ... Yet God preserveth the mighty by his power:
He riseth up that hath no assurance of life.

23 wird geladen ... God giveth them to be in security, and they rest thereon;
{Or, But}And his eyes are upon their ways.

24 wird geladen ... They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone;
{Or, And when they are &c.}Yea, they are brought low, they are {Or, gather in}taken out of the way as all others,
And are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.

25 wird geladen ... And if it be not so now, who will prove me a liar,
And make my speech nothing worth?

Est 3,8 wird geladen ... And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and {Or, separated}dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from those of every people; neither keep they the king's laws: therefore it is not {Or, meet for the king}for the king's profit to suffer them.

All the presidents of the kingdom, the deputies and the satraps, the counsellors and the governors, have consulted together {Or, that the king should establish a statutue, and make &c.}to establish a royal statute, and to make a strong interdict, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

Dan 6,8 wird geladen ... Now, O king, establish the interdict, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which {Aramaic: passeth not away.}altereth not.

Dan 6,9 wird geladen ... Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the interdict.

Joh 19,12 wird geladen ... Upon this Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou release this man, thou art not Cæsar's friend: every one that maketh himself a king {Or, opposeth Cæsar}speaketh against Cæsar.
