Vers

1 wird geladen ... And the whole earth was of one {Hebrew: lip.}language and of one {Hebrew: words.}speech.

2 wird geladen ... And it came to pass, as they journeyed {Or, in the east}east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

3 wird geladen ... And they said one to another, Come, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and {That is, bitumen}slime had they for mortar.

4 wird geladen ... And they said, Come, let us build us a city, and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven, and let us make us a name; lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

5 wird geladen ... And Jehovah came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

6 wird geladen ... And Jehovah said, Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is what they begin to do: and now nothing will be withholden from them, which they purpose to do.

7 wird geladen ... Come, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

8 wird geladen ... So Jehovah scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off building the city.

9 wird geladen ... Therefore was the name of it called Babel; because Jehovah did there {Hebrew: balal, to confound.}confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did Jehovah scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

10 wird geladen ... These are the generations of Shem. Shem was a hundred years old, and begat Arpachshad two years after the flood.

11 wird geladen ... and Shem lived after he begat Arpachshad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

12 wird geladen ... And Arpachshad lived five and thirty years, and begat Shelah.

13 wird geladen ... and Arpachshad lived after he begat Shelah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

14 wird geladen ... And Shelah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:

15 wird geladen ... and Shelah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

16 wird geladen ... And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:

17 wird geladen ... and Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.

18 wird geladen ... And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:

19 wird geladen ... and Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.

20 wird geladen ... And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:

21 wird geladen ... and Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.

22 wird geladen ... And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:

23 wird geladen ... and Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

24 wird geladen ... And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:

25 wird geladen ... and Nahor lived after he begat Terah a hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.

26 wird geladen ... And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

27 wird geladen ... Now these are the generations of Terah. Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran. And Haran begat Lot.

28 wird geladen ... And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.

29 wird geladen ... And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.

30 wird geladen ... And Sarai was barren; she had no child.

31 wird geladen ... And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his son's son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

32 wird geladen ... And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.

1Mo 13,6 wird geladen ... And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.

1Mo 13,7 wird geladen ... And there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abram's cattle and the herdsmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelt then in the land.

1Mo 13,8 wird geladen ... And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdsmen and thy herdsmen; for we are brethren.

1Mo 13,9 wird geladen ... Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou take the right hand, then I will go to the left.

1Mo 13,10 wird geladen ... And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the {Or, Circle}Plain of the Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before Jehovah destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of Jehovah, like the land of Egypt, as thou goest unto Zoar.

1Mo 13,11 wird geladen ... So Lot chose him all the Plain of the Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.

1Mo 14,12 wird geladen ... And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.

1Mo 19,1 wird geladen ... And the two angels came to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot saw them, and rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face to the earth;

1Mo 19,2 wird geladen ... and he said, Behold now, my lords, turn aside, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your way. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

1Mo 19,3 wird geladen ... And he urged them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

1Mo 19,4 wird geladen ... But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both young and old, all the people from every quarter;

1Mo 19,5 wird geladen ... and they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men that came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

1Mo 19,6 wird geladen ... And Lot went out unto them to the door, and shut the door after him.

1Mo 19,7 wird geladen ... And he said, I pray you, my brethren, do not so wickedly.

1Mo 19,8 wird geladen ... Behold now, I have two daughters that have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing, {Or, for therefore}forasmuch as they are come under the shadow of my roof.

1Mo 19,9 wird geladen ... And they said, Stand back. And they said, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and drew near to break the door.

1Mo 19,10 wird geladen ... But the men put forth their hand, and brought Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.

1Mo 19,11 wird geladen ... And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

1Mo 19,12 wird geladen ... And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son-in-law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whomsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of the place:

1Mo 19,13 wird geladen ... for we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxed great before Jehovah; and Jehovah hath sent us to destroy it.

1Mo 19,14 wird geladen ... And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons-in-law, who {Or, were to marry}married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for Jehovah will destroy the city. But he seemed unto his sons-in-law as one that mocked.

1Mo 19,15 wird geladen ... And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters that are here, lest thou be consumed in the {Or, punishment}iniquity of the city.

1Mo 19,16 wird geladen ... But he lingered; and the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters, Jehovah being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

1Mo 19,17 wird geladen ... And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth, abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the Plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

1Mo 19,18 wird geladen ... And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, {Or, O Lord}my lord:

1Mo 19,19 wird geladen ... behold now, thy servant hath found favor in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy lovingkindness, which thou hast showed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest {Or, the evil}evil overtake me, and I die:

1Mo 19,20 wird geladen ... behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one. Oh let me escape thither (is it not a little one?), and my soul shall live.

1Mo 19,21 wird geladen ... And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow the city of which thou hast spoken.

1Mo 19,22 wird geladen ... Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called {That is, Little. See verse verse 20; chapter 14:8}Zoar.

1Mo 19,23 wird geladen ... The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot came unto Zoar.

1Mo 19,24 wird geladen ... Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven;

1Mo 19,25 wird geladen ... and he overthrew those cities, and all the Plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

1Mo 19,26 wird geladen ... But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

1Mo 19,27 wird geladen ... And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he had stood before Jehovah:

1Mo 19,28 wird geladen ... and he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the Plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the land went up as the smoke of a furnace.

1Mo 19,29 wird geladen ... And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the Plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot dwelt.
