And Jehovah said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee seven and seven, the male and his female; and of the beasts that are not clean two, the male and his female:
of the birds also of the heavens, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will I {Hebrew: blot out.}destroy from off the face of the ground.
And Noah did according unto all that Jehovah commanded him.
And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creepeth upon the ground,
there went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, male and female, as God commanded Noah.
And it came to pass after the seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
they, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every {Hebrew: wing.}sort.
And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh wherein is the breath of life.
And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him: and Jehovah shut him in.
And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lifted up above the earth.
And the waters prevailed, and increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high mountains that were under the whole heaven were covered.
Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both birds, and cattle, and beasts, and every {Or, swarming thing that swarmeth}creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.
{Or, And he destroyed every living thing}And every living thing was {Hebrew: blotted out.}destroyed that was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and creeping things, and birds of the heavens; and they were {Hebrew: blotted out.}destroyed from the earth: and Noah only was left, and they that were with him in the ark.
And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.

And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, and {Or, blameless}perfect in his generations: Noah walked with God.
In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him,Upon them that {Or, wait for}hope in his lovingkindness;
He will deliver thee in six troubles;Yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
In famine he will redeem thee from death;And in war from the power of the sword.
Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue;Neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
At destruction and dearth thou shalt laugh;Neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field;And the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
And thou shalt know that thy tent is in peace;And thou shalt visit thy {Or, habitation}fold, and {Or, shall not err}shalt miss nothing.
To deliver their soul from death,And to keep them alive in famine.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High {Or, That abideth…Almighty; Even I &c.}Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress;My God, in whom I trust.
For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler,And from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover thee with his pinions,And under his wings shalt thou take refuge:His truth is a shield and a buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night,Nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
For the pestilence that walketh in darkness,Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side,And ten thousand at thy right hand;But it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold,And see the reward of the wicked.
{Or, Because thou hast said, Jehovah is my refuge}For thou, O Jehovah, art my refuge!Thou hast made the Most High thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee,Neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.
Blessings are upon the head of the righteous;But {Or, the mouth of the wicked covereth violence}violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence;And {Or, the children of him that hath it}his children shall have a place of refuge.
The memory of the righteous is blessed;But the name of the wicked shall rot.
The name of Jehovah is a strong tower;The righteous runneth into it, and {Hebrew: is set on high.}is safe.
He that walketh uprightly walketh surely;But he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
Riches profit not in the day of wrath;But righteousness delivereth from death.
The righteousness of the perfect shall {Or, make straight (or, plain)}direct his way;But the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them;But the treacherous shall be taken in their own iniquity.
When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish;And the hope of {Or, strong men}iniquity perisheth.
The righteous is delivered out of trouble,And the wicked cometh in his stead.
For, behold, Jehovah cometh forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
Say ye of the righteous, that it shall be well with him; for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
And Jehovah said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done in the midst thereof.
And to the others he said in my hearing, Go ye through the city after him, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity;
slay {Hebrew: to destruction.}utterly the old man, the young man and the virgin, and little children and women; but come not near any man upon whom is the mark: and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the {Or, elders}old men that were before the house.
Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him; for what his hands have done shall be done unto him.
Seek ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth, that have kept his ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah's anger.
that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye are seen as {Greek: luminaries. Wisd. 13:2; compare Revelation 21:11}lights in the world,
And as were the days of Noah, so shall be the {Greek: presence.}coming of the Son of man.
For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the {Greek: presence.}coming of the Son of man.

And as it came to pass in the days of Noah, even so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
and spared not the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, {Greek: a herald.}a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;
and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, having made them an example unto those that should live ungodly;
and delivered righteous Lot, sore distressed by the lascivious life of the wicked
(for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, {Greek: tormented.}vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their lawless deeds):
the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment unto the day of judgment;
For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.
By faith Noah, being warned of God concerning things not seen as yet, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
