And MosesH4872 spakeH1696 unto the headsH7218 of the tribesH4294 concerning the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, This is the thingH1697 which the LORDH3068 hath commandedH6680.
If a manH376 vowH5087 a vowH5088 unto the LORDH3068, or swearH7650 an oathH7621 to bindH631 his soulH5315 with a bondH632; he shall not breakH2490 his wordH1697, he shall doH6213 according to all that proceedethH3318 out of his mouthH6310. {break: Heb. profane}
If a womanH802 also vowH5087 a vowH5088 unto the LORDH3068, and bindH631 herself by a bondH632, being in her father'sH1 houseH1004 in her youthH5271;
And her fatherH1 hearH8085 her vowH5088, and her bondH632 wherewith she hath boundH631 her soulH5315, and her fatherH1 shall hold his peaceH2790 at her: then all her vowsH5088 shall standH6965, and every bondH632 wherewith she hath boundH631 her soulH5315 shall standH6965.
But if her fatherH1 disallowH5106 her in the dayH3117 that he hearethH8085; not any of her vowsH5088, or of her bondsH632 wherewith she hath boundH631 her soulH5315, shall standH6965: and the LORDH3068 shall forgiveH5545 her, because her fatherH1 disallowedH5106 her.
And if she had at all an husbandH376, when she vowedH5088, or utteredH4008 ought out of her lipsH8193, wherewith she boundH631 her soulH5315; {she vowed: Heb. her vows were upon her}
And her husbandH376 heardH8085 it, and held his peaceH2790 at her in the dayH3117 that he heardH8085 it: then her vowsH5088 shall standH6965, and her bondsH632 wherewith she boundH631 her soulH5315 shall standH6965.
But if her husbandH376 disallowedH5106 her on the dayH3117 that he heardH8085 it; then he shall make her vow which she vowedH5088, and that which she utteredH4008 with her lipsH8193, wherewith she boundH631 her soulH5315, of none effectH6565: and the LORDH3068 shall forgiveH5545 her.
But every vowH5088 of a widowH490, and of her that is divorcedH1644, wherewith they have boundH631 their soulsH5315, shall standH6965 against her.
And if she vowedH5087 in her husband'sH376 houseH1004, or boundH631 her soulH5315 by a bondH632 with an oathH7621;
And her husbandH376 heardH8085 it, and held his peaceH2790 at her, and disallowedH5106 her not: then all her vowsH5088 shall standH6965, and every bondH632 wherewith she boundH631 her soulH5315 shall standH6965.
But if her husbandH376 hath utterlyH6565 made them voidH6565 on the dayH3117 he heardH8085 them; then whatsoever proceededH4161 out of her lipsH8193 concerning her vowsH5088, or concerning the bondH632 of her soulH5315, shall not standH6965: her husbandH376 hath made them voidH6565; and the LORDH3068 shall forgiveH5545 her.
Every vowH5088, and every bindingH632 oathH7621 to afflictH6031 the soulH5315, her husbandH376 may establishH6965 it, or her husbandH376 may make it voidH6565.
But if her husbandH376 altogetherH2790 hold his peaceH2790 at her from dayH3117 to dayH3117; then he establishethH6965 all her vowsH5088, or all her bondsH632, which are upon her: he confirmethH6965 them, because he held his peaceH2790 at her in the dayH3117 that he heardH8085 them.
But if he shall any waysH6565 make them voidH6565 afterH310 that he hath heardH8085 them; then he shall bearH5375 her iniquityH5771.
These are the statutesH2706, which the LORDH3068 commandedH6680 MosesH4872, between a manH376 and his wifeH802, between the fatherH1 and his daughterH1323, being yet in her youthH5271 in her father'sH1 houseH1004.
