And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works,

There is none that understandeth,There is none that seeketh after God;
For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved {Greek: in.}by his life;

Now if their fall is the riches of the world, and their loss the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
For if the casting away of them is the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
Be it known therefore unto you, that this salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles: they will also hear. {Some ancient authorities insert verse 29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, having much disputing among themselves.}
and not only so, {Greek: but also glorying. Compare verse 2.}but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
