O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people,When thou didst march through the wilderness; [Selah
The earth trembled,The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God:Yon Sinai trembled at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain,Thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
Thy {Or, troop}congregation dwelt therein:Thou, O God, didst prepare of thy goodness for the poor.
The Lord giveth the word:The women that publish the tidings are a great host.
Kings of armies flee, they flee;And she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.
{Or, Will ye lie among the sheepfolds, as the wings…gold?}When ye lie among the sheepfolds,It is as the wings of a dove covered with silver,And her pinions with yellow gold.
When the Almighty scattered kings therein,It {Or, snowed}was as when it snoweth in Zalmon.
And Jehovah went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them the way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; that they might go by day and by night:
Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
And they set forward from the mount of Jehovah three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah went before them three days' journey, to seek out a resting-place for them.
When he hath put forth all his own, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, {Or, having brought}in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the {Or, captain}author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
which we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and stedfast and entering into that which is within the veil;
whither as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Jehovah, when thou wentest forth out of Seir,When thou marchedst out of the field of Edom,The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped,Yea, the clouds dropped water.
{Or, There shall be a visitation from Jehovah &c.}She shall be visited of Jehovah of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with whirlwind and tempest, and the flame of a devouring fire.
And mount Sinai, the whole of it, smoked, because Jehovah descended upon it in fire; and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments,
These have the power to shut the heaven, that it rain not during the days of their prophecy: and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they shall desire.
As the {Hebrew: flock of holy things.}flock for sacrifice, as the flock of Jerusalem in her appointed feasts, so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.

He asked water, and she gave him milk;She brought him butter in a lordly dish.
She put her hand to the tent-pin,And her right hand to the workmen's hammer;And with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote through his head;Yea, she pierced and struck through his temples.
At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay;At her feet he bowed, he fell;Where he bowed, there he fell down {Or, overpowered}dead.
In that day will I make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; and they of Jerusalem shall yet again dwell in {Hebrew: her.}their own place, even in Jerusalem.
Her wise ladies answered her, {Or, (Yet she repeateth her words unto herself)}Yea, she returned answer to herself,
Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil?A damsel, two damsels to every man;To Sisera a spoil of dyed garments,A spoil of dyed garments embroidered,Of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the spoil?
And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the nations round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and {Or, maketh}made intercession for the transgressors.
O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock,In the covert of the steep place,Let me see thy countenance,Let me hear thy voice;For sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.
knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers;
but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Christ:
And it was told Abimelech that all the men of the tower of Shechem were gathered together.
And Abimelech gat him up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that were with him; and Abimelech took {Hebrew: the axes.}an axe in his hand, and cut down a bough from the trees, and took it up, and laid it on his shoulder: and he said unto the people that were with him, What ye have seen me do, make haste, and do as I have done.
who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;
As the cold of snow in the time of harvest,So is a faithful messenger to them that send him;For he refresheth the soul of his masters.
