Versliste
And the daughter of Zion is left as a booth in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
He buildeth his house as the moth,And as a booth which the keeper maketh.
Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth,Is mount Zion, on the sides of the north,The city of the great King.
Jehovah loveth the gates of ZionMore than all the dwellings of Jacob.
Our feet {Or, have stood}are standingWithin thy gates, O Jerusalem,
Peace be within thy walls,And prosperity within thy palaces.
For Jehovah hath chosen Zion;He hath desired it for his habitation.
Look not upon me, because I am swarthy,Because the sun hath {Or, looked upon}scorched me.My mother's sons were incensed against me;They made me keeper of the vineyards;But mine own vineyard have I not kept.
Solomon had a vineyard at Baal-hamon;He let out the vineyard unto keepers;Every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand pieces of silver.
My vineyard, which is mine, is before me:Thou, O Solomon, shalt have the thousand,And those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.
I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience bearing witness with me in the Holy Spirit,

who are Israelites; whose is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ as concerning the {Or, flesh; he who is over all, God, be blessed for ever.}flesh, who is over all, God blessed {Greek: unto the ages.}for ever. Amen.
And God said unto Moses, {Or, I AM, BECAUSE I AM Or, I AM WHO AM Or, I WILL BE THAT I WILL BE}I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, {Hebrew: Ehueh. From the same root as Jehovah.}I AM hath sent me unto you.
And Jehovah said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people that are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
Jehovah will reign for ever,Thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. {Hebrew: Hallelujah.}Praise ye Jehovah.
But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
