And they journeyed from Beth-el; and there was still some distance to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labor.
And it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; for now thou shalt have another son.
And it came to pass, as her soul was departing (for she died), that she called his name {That is, The son of my sorrow.}Ben-oni: but his father called him {That is, The son of the right hand.}Benjamin.
And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath (the same is Beth-lehem).
And as for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died {Or, to my sorrow}by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when there was still some distance to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way to Ephrath (the same is Beth-lehem).
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Howbeit what things were {Greek: gains.}gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ.

And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto Jehovah.
And he said, Be it far from me, O Jehovah, that I should do this: shall I drink the blood of the men that went {Hebrew: with their lives.}in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.
