Vers

1 wird geladen ... As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest,
So honor is not seemly for a fool.

2 wird geladen ... As the sparrow in her wandering, as the swallow in her flying,
So the curse that is causeless {Hebrew: cometh not.}alighteth not.

3 wird geladen ... A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass,
And a rod for the back of fools.

Lest thou also be like unto him.

Cutteth off his own feet, and drinketh in damage.

So is a parable in the mouth of fools.

So is he that giveth honor to a fool.

9 wird geladen ... As a thorn that goeth up into the hand of a drunkard,
So is a parable in the mouth of fools.

So is he that hireth a fool and he that hireth them that pass by.

So is a fool that repeateth his folly.

12 wird geladen ... Seest thou a man wise in {Hebrew: his own eyes.}his own conceit?
There is more hope of a fool than of him.

13 wird geladen ... The sluggard saith, There is a lion in the way;
A lion is in the streets.

14 wird geladen ... As the door turneth upon its hinges,
So doth the sluggard upon his bed.

15 wird geladen ... The sluggard burieth his hand in the dish;
It wearieth him to bring it again to his mouth.

16 wird geladen ... The sluggard is wiser in {Hebrew: his own eyes.}his own conceit
Than seven men that can {Or, answer discreetly}render a reason.

17 wird geladen ... {Or, He that rexeth himself…is like one that taketh a passing dog &c.}He that passeth by, and vexeth himself with strife belonging not to him,
Is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.

Arrows, and death,

19 wird geladen ... So is the man that deceiveth his neighbor,
And saith, Am not I in sport?

20 wird geladen ... For lack of wood the fire goeth out;
And where there is no whisperer, contention ceaseth.

21 wird geladen ... As coals are to hot embers, and wood to fire,
So is a contentious man to inflame strife.

22 wird geladen ... The words of a whisperer are as dainty morsels,
And they go down into the innermost parts.

23 wird geladen ... Fervent lips and a wicked heart
Are like an earthen vessel overlaid with silver dross.

24 wird geladen ... He that hateth dissembleth with his lips;
But he layeth up deceit within him:

25 wird geladen ... When he speaketh fair, believe him not;
For there are seven abominations in his heart:

26 wird geladen ... Though his hatred cover itself with guile,
His wickedness shall be openly showed before the assembly.

27 wird geladen ... Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein;
And he that rolleth a stone, it shall return upon him.

28 wird geladen ... A lying tongue hateth those whom it hath {Hebrew: crushed.}wounded;
And a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

Est 3,6 wird geladen ... But he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had made known to him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.

Est 3,7 wird geladen ... In the first month, which is the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.

And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and {Or, separated}dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from those of every people; neither keep they the king's laws: therefore it is not {Or, meet for the king}for the king's profit to suffer them.
