Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel,
Thou that leadest Joseph like a flock;
Thou that {Or, art enthroned}sittest above the cherubim, shine forth.

And come to save us.

And cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

5 wird geladen ... Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears,
And given them tears to drink in large measure.

6 wird geladen ... Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbors;
And our enemies laugh among themselves.

7 wird geladen ... {Or, Restore}Turn us again, O God of hosts;
And cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

8 wird geladen ... Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt:
Thou didst drive out the nations, and plantedst it.

9 wird geladen ... Thou preparedst room before it,
And it took deep root, and filled the land.

10 wird geladen ... The mountains were covered with the shadow of it,
And {Or, the cedars of God with the boughs thereof}the boughs thereof were like {Or, goodly cedars}cedars of God.

11 wird geladen ... It sent out its branches unto the sea,
And its shoots unto the River.

12 wird geladen ... Why hast thou broken down its walls,
So that all they that pass by the way do pluck it?

13 wird geladen ... The boar out of the wood doth ravage it,
And the wild beasts of the field feed on it.

14 wird geladen ... Turn again, we beseech thee, O God of hosts:
Look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine,

15 wird geladen ... And {Or, protect (or, maintain) that which &c.}the stock which thy right hand planted,
And the {Hebrew: son.}branch that thou madest strong for thyself.

16 wird geladen ... It is burned with fire, it is cut down:
They perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

17 wird geladen ... Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand,
Upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.

18 wird geladen ... So shall we not go back from thee:
Quicken thou us, and we will call upon thy name.

Cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

Jes 36,15 wird geladen ... neither let Hezekiah make you trust in Jehovah, saying, Jehovah will surely deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Jes 36,16 wird geladen ... Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, {Hebrew: Make with me a blessing.}Make your peace with me, and come out to me; and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig-tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern;

Jes 36,17 wird geladen ... until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.

Jes 36,18 wird geladen ... Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, Jehovah will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Jes 36,19 wird geladen ... Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

Jes 36,20 wird geladen ... Who are they among all the gods of these countries, that have delivered their country out of my hand, that Jehovah should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?

Jes 37,23 wird geladen ... Whom hast thou defied and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

Jer 48,27 wird geladen ... For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for as often as thou speakest of him, thou waggest the head.

Hes 36,4 wird geladen ... therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Jehovah: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes and to the cities that are forsaken, which are become a prey and derision to the residue of the nations that are round about;
