A Psalm of David.
Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity:
I have trusted also in Jehovah {Or, I shall not slide}without wavering.
Examine me, O Jehovah, and prove me;
Try my {Hebrew: reins.}heart and my mind.
For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes;
And I have walked in thy truth.
I have not sat with men of falsehood;
Neither will I go in with dissemblers.
I hate the assembly of evil-doers,
And will not sit with the wicked.
I will wash my hands in innocency:
So will I compass thine altar, O Jehovah;
That I may {Or, publish with the voice of thanksgiving}make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard,
And tell of all thy wondrous works.
Jehovah, I love the habitation of thy house,
And the place {Hebrew: of the tabernacle of thy glory.}where thy glory dwelleth.
{Or, Take not away}Gather not my soul with sinners,
Nor my life with men of blood;
In whose hands is wickedness,
And their right hand is full of bribes.
But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity:
Redeem me, and be merciful unto me.
My foot standeth in an even place:
In the congregations will I bless Jehovah.
Querverweise zu Psalm 26,7 Ps 26,7
That I may show forth all thy praise.In the gates of the daughter of ZionI will rejoice in thy {Or, saving help}salvation.
O God, thou hast taught me from my youth;And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
Yea, even {Hebrew: unto old age and gray hairs.}when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not,Until I have declared {Hebrew: thine arm.}thy strength unto the next generation,Thy might to every one that is to come.
Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high;Thou who hast done great things,O God, who is like unto thee?
I will come into thy house with burnt-offerings;I will pay thee my vows,
Which my lips uttered,And my mouth spake, when I was in distress.
I will offer unto thee burnt-offerings of fatlings,With the incense of rams;I will offer bullocks with goats. [Selah
Blessed be Jehovah God, the God of Israel,Who only doeth wondrous things:
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving;Let us make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; {Or, Meditate}Talk ye of all his marvellous works.
Enter into his gates with {Or, a thank-offering}thanksgiving,And into his courts with praise:Give thanks unto him, and bless his name.
Make me to understand the way of thy precepts:So shall I meditate on thy wondrous works.
For Jehovah is good; his lovingkindness endureth for ever,And his faithfulness unto all generations.
To him who alone doeth great wonders;For his lovingkindness endureth for ever:
What shall I render unto JehovahFor all his benefits toward me?
I will take the cup of salvation,And call upon the name of Jehovah.
I will pay my vows unto Jehovah,Yea, in the presence of all his people.
To him that by understanding made the heavens;For his lovingkindness endureth for ever:
I will pay my vows unto Jehovah,Yea, in the presence of all his people,
Of the glorious majesty of thine honor,And of thy wondrous works, will I meditate.
In the courts of Jehovah's house,In the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. {Hebrew: Hallelujah.}Praise ye Jehovah.
And as he was now drawing nigh, even at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the {Greek: powers.}mighty works which they had seen;
saying, Blessed is the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
And some of the Pharisees from the multitude said unto him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples.
And he answered and said, I tell you that, if these shall hold their peace, the stones will cry out.
Open to me the gates of righteousness:I will enter into them, I will give thanks unto {Hebrew: Jah.}Jehovah.
Jehovah is God, and he hath given us light:Bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
Lift up your hands {Or, in holiness}to the sanctuary,And bless ye Jehovah.
that thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which thou shalt bring in from thy land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee; and thou shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.
And thou shalt come unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto Jehovah thy God, that I am come unto the land which Jehovah sware unto our fathers to give us.
And the priest shall take the basket out of thy hand and set it down before the altar of Jehovah thy God.
And thou shalt answer and say before Jehovah thy God, A {Hebrew: Aramean.}Syrian {Or, wandering Or, lost}ready to perish was my father; and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there, few in number; and he became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous.
And the Egyptians dealt ill with us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:
and we cried unto Jehovah, the God of our fathers, and Jehovah heard our voice, and saw our affliction, and our toil, and our oppression;
and Jehovah brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders;
and he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
And now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruit of the ground, which thou, O Jehovah, hast given me. And thou shalt set it down before Jehovah thy God, and worship before Jehovah thy God:
And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with {The Septuagint and Syriac have, a bullock three years old.}three bullocks, and one ephah of meal, and a {Or, skin}bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of Jehovah in Shiloh: and the child was young.
For this child I prayed; and Jehovah hath given me my petition which I asked of him:
And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of {That is, Blessing.}Beracah; for there they blessed Jehovah: therefore the name of that place was called The valley of Beracah unto this day.
Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for Jehovah had made them to rejoice over their enemies.
And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of Jehovah.
And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of the countries, when they heard that Jehovah fought against the enemies of Israel.
