1 wird geladen ... And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of Jehovah, and his own house,

2 wird geladen ... that the cities which Huram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.

3 wird geladen ... And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah, and prevailed against it.

4 wird geladen ... And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store-cities, which he built in Hamath.

5 wird geladen ... Also he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the nether, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bars;

6 wird geladen ... and Baalath, and all the store-cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for his chariots, and the cities for his horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

7 wird geladen ... As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, that were not of Israel;

8 wird geladen ... of their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, of them did Solomon raise a {Hebrew: men subject to taskwork.}levy of bondservants unto this day.

9 wird geladen ... But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.

10 wird geladen ... And these were the chief officers of king Solomon, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.

11 wird geladen ... And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her; for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because {Hebrew: they are.}the places are holy, whereunto the ark of Jehovah hath come.

12 wird geladen ... Then Solomon offered burnt-offerings unto Jehovah on the altar of Jehovah, which he had built before the porch,

13 wird geladen ... even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

14 wird geladen ... And he appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their offices, to praise, and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required; the doorkeepers also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

15 wird geladen ... And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.

16 wird geladen ... Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of Jehovah, and until it was finished. So the house of Jehovah was completed.

17 wird geladen ... Then went Solomon to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth, on the seashore in the land of Edom.

18 wird geladen ... And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they came with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and fetched from thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.

Pred 2,15 wird geladen ... Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so will it happen even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then said I in my heart, that this also is vanity.

Pred 2,16 wird geladen ... For of the wise man, even as of the fool, there is no remembrance for ever; seeing that in the days to come all will have been long forgotten. And how doth the wise man die even as the fool!

Pred 2,17 wird geladen ... So I hated life, because the work that is wrought under the sun was grievous unto me; for all is vanity and a striving after wind.

Pred 2,18 wird geladen ... And I hated all my labor wherein I labored under the sun, seeing that I must leave it unto the man that shall be after me.

Pred 2,19 wird geladen ... And who knoweth whether he will be a wise man or a fool? yet will he have rule over all my labor wherein I have labored, and wherein I have showed myself wise under the sun. This also is vanity.

Pred 2,20 wird geladen ... Therefore I turned about to cause my heart to despair concerning all the labor wherein I had labored under the sun.

Pred 2,21 wird geladen ... For there is a man whose labor is with wisdom, and with knowledge, and with {Or, success}skilfulness; yet to a man that hath not labored therein shall he {Hebrew: give.}leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.

Pred 2,22 wird geladen ... For what hath a man of all his labor, and of the {Or, vexation}striving of his heart, wherein he laboreth under the sun?

Pred 2,23 wird geladen ... For all his days are but sorrows, and his travail is grief; yea, even in the night his heart taketh no rest. This also is vanity.

Pred 2,24 wird geladen ... There is nothing better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and make his soul enjoy good in his labor. This also I saw, that it is from the hand of God.

Pred 2,25 wird geladen ... For who can eat, or who can {Or, hasten thereto}have enjoyment, {According to Septuagint Version and Syraic. apart from him.}more than I?

Pred 2,26 wird geladen ... For to the man that pleaseth him God giveth wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that pleaseth God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.
