Versliste
And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.
And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have seen, and, behold, a candlestick all of gold, with its bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; {The Septuagint Version and Vulgate have, and seven pipes to the lamps.}there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are upon the top thereof;
and two olive-trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
And he put the candlestick in the tent of meeting, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
And he {Or, set up}lighted the lamps before Jehovah; as Jehovah commanded Moses.
And Aaron shall burn thereon incense of sweet spices: every morning, when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn it.
And when Aaron {Or, setteth up Hebrew: causeth to ascend.}lighteth the lamps {Hebrew: between the two evenings.}at even, he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before Jehovah throughout your generations.
And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure olive oil beaten for the light, {Or, to set up a lamp continually}to cause a lamp to burn continually.
In the tent of meeting, without the veil which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall keep it in order from evening to morning before Jehovah: it shall be a statute for ever throughout their generations {Or, from}on the behalf of the children of Israel.
And now, Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
