Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech,That I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
My soul hath long had her dwellingWith him that hateth peace.
I am for peace:But when I speak, they are for war.
Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.
A Song of Ascents.Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Jehovah.
Lord, hear my voice:Let thine ears be attentiveTo the voice of my supplications.
If thou, {Hebrew: Jah.}Jehovah, shouldest mark iniquities,O Lord, who could stand?
But there is forgiveness with thee,That thou mayest be feared.
I wait for Jehovah, my soul doth wait,And in his word do I hope.
My soul waiteth for the LordMore than watchmen wait for the morning;Yea, more than watchmen for the morning.
O Israel, hope in Jehovah;For with Jehovah there is lovingkindness,And with him is plenteous redemption.
And he will redeem IsraelFrom all his iniquities.
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
and these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the first-born of Ishmael, Nebaioth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek;Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre:
Assyria also is joined with them;They have {Hebrew: been an arm to the children of Lot.}helped the children of Lot. [Selah
If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men.
Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:
