1 wird geladen ... The {Or, oracle concerning}burden of the wilderness of the sea.
As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it cometh from the wilderness, from a terrible land.

2 wird geladen ... A {Or, hard}grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous man dealeth treacherously, and the destroyer destroyeth. Go up, O Elam; besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof {Or, will I make}have I made to cease.

3 wird geladen ... Therefore are my loins filled with anguish; pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman in travail: I am {Hebrew: bent.}pained so that I cannot hear; I am dismayed so that I cannot see.

4 wird geladen ... My heart {Hebrew: wandereth.}fluttereth, horror hath affrighted me; the twilight that I desired hath been turned into trembling unto me.

5 wird geladen ... They prepare the table, they {Or, spread the carpets}set the watch, they eat, they drink: rise up, ye princes, anoint the shield.

6 wird geladen ... For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman: let him declare what he seeth:

7 wird geladen ... {Or, and he saw…and he hearkened}and when he seeth {Or, a chariot Or, chariots}a troop, {Or, a pair of horsemen}horsemen in pairs, {Or, a chariot Or, chariots}a troop of asses, {Or, a chariot Or, chariots}a troop of camels, he shall hearken diligently with much heed.

8 wird geladen ... And he cried as a lion: O Lord, I stand continually upon the watch-tower in the day-time, and am set in my ward {Or, every night}whole nights;

9 wird geladen ... and, behold, here {Or, come chariots of men}cometh a troop of men, {Or, a pair of horsemen}horsemen in pairs. And he answered and said, Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the graven images of her gods are broken unto the ground.

10 wird geladen ... O thou my threshing, and the {Hebrew: son.}grain of my floor! that which I have heard from Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.

One calleth unto me out of Seir, Watchman, {Or, what hour}what of the night? Watchman, {Or, what hour}what of the night?

12 wird geladen ... The watchman said, The morning {Or, is come}cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: {Or, come ye again}turn ye, come.

13 wird geladen ... The {Or, oracle}burden upon Arabia.
In the {Or, thickets}forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye caravans of Dedanites.

14 wird geladen ... Unto him that {Or, is thirsty bring ye}was thirsty they brought water; {Or, as otherwise read, ye inhabitants of the land of Tema, meet}the inhabitants of the land of Tema did meet the fugitives with their bread.

15 wird geladen ... For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.

16 wird geladen ... For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar shall fail;

17 wird geladen ... and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be few; for Jehovah, the God of Israel, hath spoken it.

Jer 49,31 wird geladen ... Arise, get you up unto a nation that is at ease, that dwelleth without care, saith Jehovah; that have neither gates nor bars, that dwell alone.

Jer 49,32 wird geladen ... And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil: and I will scatter unto all winds them that have the corners of their hair cut off; and I will bring their calamity from every side of them, saith Jehovah.

Jer 49,33 wird geladen ... And Hazor shall be a dwelling-place of jackals, a desolation for ever: no man shall dwell there, neither shall any son of man sojourn therein.
