Versliste
And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.
and so all Israel shall be saved: even as it is written, {Isaiah 59:20 f.}There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer; He shall turn away {Greek: ungodlinesses.}ungodliness from Jacob:
And a Redeemer will come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith Jehovah.
forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved; to fill up their sins always: but the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
But if our unrighteousness commendeth the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who visiteth with wrath? (I speak after the manner of men.)
Much more then, being now justified {Greek: in.}by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath of God through him.
What if God, {Or, although willing}willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering vessels of wrath fitted unto destruction:
Wherefore ye must needs be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience' sake.
inasmuch as he hath appointed a day in which he will judge {Greek: the inhabited earth.}the world in righteousness {Greek: in.}by {Or, a man}the man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
