Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the {Greek: powers.}mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter.
And straightway he constrained his disciples to enter into the boat, and to go before him unto the other side to Bethsaida, while he himself sendeth the multitude away.
And they come unto Bethsaida. And they bring to him a blind man, and beseech him to touch him.
And the apostles, when they were returned, declared unto him what things they had done. And he took them, and withdrew apart to a city, called Bethsaida.

these therefore came to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
And they shall take up a lamentation over thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited {Or, being won from the seas}by seafaring men, the renowned city, that was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, that caused their terror to be on all that {Or, inhabited her}dwelt there!
Thy borders are in the heart of the seas; thy builders have perfected thy beauty.
The ships of Tarshish were thy caravans for thy merchandise: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the heart of the seas.
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
Son of man, set thy face toward Sidon, and prophesy against it,
and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Sidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee; and they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
For I will send pestilence into her, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall {Or, be judged}fall in the midst of her, with the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor a hurting thorn of any that are round about them, that did despite unto them; and they shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.
And Canaan begat Sidon his first-born, and Heth,
And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife {Hebrew: Izabel.}Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.
For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of {Or, destruction}corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile.
