Versliste
Take us the foxes, the little foxes,That spoil the vineyards; For our vineyards are in blossom.
My beloved is mine, and I am his:He feedeth his flock among the lilies.
{Or, When the day is cool}Until the day {Or, break Hebrew: breathe}be cool, and the shadows flee away,Turn, my beloved, and be thou like a {Or, gazelle}roe or a young hartUpon the {Or, mountains of separation}mountains of {Perhaps, the spice malobathron.}Bether.
In that very hour there came certain Pharisees, saying to him, Get thee out, and go hence: for Herod would fain kill thee.
And he said unto them, Go and say to that fox, Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures to-day and to-morrow, and the third day I {Or, end my course}am perfected.
O Israel, thy prophets have been like foxes in the waste places.
Fathers, provoke not your children, that they be not discouraged.
The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water:Therefore leave off contention, before there is quarrelling.
I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine:He feedeth his flock among the lilies.
I am my beloved's;And his desire is toward me.
For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I myself, even I, will search for my sheep, and will seek them out.
As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will deliver them out of all places whither they have been scattered in {Hebrew: the day of clouds and thick darkness.}the cloudy and dark day.
And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
I will feed them with good pasture; and upon the mountains of the height of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold; and on fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord Jehovah.
He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and will gently lead those that have their young.
