Versliste
I have compared thee, O {Or, my friend (and so throughout)}my love, {Or, To the steeds Or, To my steed}To a steed in Pharaoh's chariots.
Thy cheeks are comely with plaits of hair,Thy neck with strings of jewels.
I have compared thee, O {Or, my friend (and so throughout)}my love, {Or, To the steeds Or, To my steed}To a steed in Pharaoh's chariots.
Thy cheeks are comely with plaits of hair,Thy neck with strings of jewels.
But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Thou art all fair, my love;And there is no spot in thee.
Wherefore if any man is in Christ, {Or, there is a new creation}he is a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we are one;
And I decked thee with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
And I put a ring upon thy nose, and ear-rings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thy head.
Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil; and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper unto royal estate.
And thy renown went forth among the nations for thy beauty; for it was perfect, through my majesty which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord Jehovah.
