I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ liveth in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
And they offered him wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.
And there came also Nicodemus, he who at the first came to him by night, bringing a {Some ancient authorities read roll.}mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds.
But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
