Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but {Or, the teachers}they that are wise shall understand.
He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, that standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is made full.
and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God that are scattered abroad.
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing;But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
Then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah,And find the knowledge of God.
That forsaketh the {Or, guide}friend of her youth,And forgetteth the covenant of her God:
So shalt thou find favor and {Or, good repute}good understandingIn the sight of God and man.

Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is Jehovah?Or lest I be poor, and steal,And {Hebrew: handle the name.}use profanely the name of my God.
For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

and I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse: and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak {Hebrew: to her heart.}comfortably unto her.
