This is he that was in the {Or, congregation}church in the wilderness with the angel that spake to him in the Mount Sinai, and with our fathers: who received living oracles to give unto us:
Much every way: first of all, that they were intrusted with the oracles of God.
For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again {Or, that one teach you which are the rudiments}that some one teach you the rudiments of the {Greek: beginning.}first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.
And the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not {Greek: pleasing.}fit that we should forsake the word of God, and {Or, minister to tables}serve tables.
{Some ancient authorities read But, brethren, look ye out from among you.}Look ye out therefore, brethren, from among you seven men of good report, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
But we will continue stedfastly in prayer, and in the ministry of the word.
And he that supplieth seed to the sower and bread for food, shall supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness:
Yea, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply virtue; and in your virtue knowledge;
for thus shall be richly supplied unto you the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Herein {Or, was}is my Father glorified, {Many ancient authorities read that ye bear much fruit, and be my disciples.}that ye bear much fruit; and so shall ye be my disciples.
to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, {Some ancient authorities omit to whom.}to whom be the glory {Greek: unto the ages.}for ever. Amen.
And he showed them the entrance into the city; and they smote the city with the edge of the sword; but they let the man go and all his family.
To him be the dominion {Greek: unto the ages of the ages.}for ever and ever. Amen.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and {Greek: unto the day of eternity. Ecclus. 18:10}for ever. Amen.
to whom be the glory {Greek: unto the ages of the ages.}for ever and ever. Amen.
whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ as concerning the {Or, flesh; he who is over all, God, be blessed for ever.}flesh, who is over all, God blessed {Greek: unto the ages.}for ever. Amen.
For of him, and through him, and unto him, are all things. To him be the glory {Greek: unto the ages.}for ever. Amen.
Now unto {Or, God and our Father}our God and Father be the glory {Greek: unto the ages of the ages.}for ever and ever. Amen.
unto him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus unto {Greek: all generations of the age of the ages.}all generations for ever and ever. Amen.
Now unto the King {Greek: of the ages. Compare Hebrews 1:2; Revelation 15:3.}eternal, {Greek: incorruptible.}immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory {Greek: unto the ages of the ages.}for ever and ever. Amen.
who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power eternal. Amen.
The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be the glory {Greek: unto the ages of the ages.}for ever and ever. Amen.
make you perfect in every good {Many ancient authorities read work.}thing to do his will, working in {Many ancient authorities read you.}us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be the glory {Greek: unto the ages of the ages.}for ever and ever. Amen.
and he made us to be a kingdom, to be priests unto {Or, God and his Father}his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion {Greek: unto the ages of the ages. Many ancient authorities omit of the ages.}for ever and ever. Amen.
And every created thing which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things that are in them, heard I saying,Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, be the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the dominion, {Greek: unto the ages of the ages.}for ever and ever.
saying,Amen: {Greek: The blessing, and the glory &c.}Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God {Greek: unto the ages of ages.}for ever and ever. Amen.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and {Greek: unto the day of eternity. Ecclus. 18:10}for ever. Amen.
The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be the glory {Greek: unto the ages of the ages.}for ever and ever. Amen.
and he made us to be a kingdom, to be priests unto {Or, God and his Father}his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion {Greek: unto the ages of the ages. Many ancient authorities omit of the ages.}for ever and ever. Amen.
