Das in Vers 8-10 Gesagte bezieht sich auf die Tiere und die 24 Ältesten. Was hat das zu sagen? Wer sind die vier Tiere, die mit den Ältesten auf der Erde herrschen werden? Die Gemeinde hat doch eine himmlische Berufung (Eph 1,3); sie kann es also nicht sein. Merkwürdigerweise sind in Vers 8-10 die vier Tiere und die Ältesten als „sie“ erwähnt, in Vers 11 dagegen auch die Engel.
