And thou shalt writeH3789 Aaron'sH175 nameH8034 upon the rodH4294 of LeviH3878: for oneH259 rodH4294 shall be for the headH7218 of the houseH1004 of their fathersH1.
And thou shalt lay them upH3240 in the tabernacleH168 of the congregationH4150 beforeH6440 the testimonyH5715, where I will meetH3259 with you.
And it shall come to pass, that the man'sH376 rodH4294, whom I shall chooseH977, shall blossomH6524: and I will make to ceaseH7918 from me the murmuringsH8519 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, whereby they murmurH3885 against you.
And MosesH4872 spakeH1696 unto the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, and every one of their princesH5387 gaveH5414 him a rodH4294+H4294 apiece, for each princeH5387+H5387 oneH259+H259, according to their fathers'H1 housesH1004, even twelveH6240+H8147 rodsH4294: and the rodH4294 of AaronH175 was amongH8432 their rodsH4294. {a rod…: Heb. a rod for one prince, a rod for one prince}
And MosesH4872 laid upH3240 the rodsH4294 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 in the tabernacleH168 of witnessH5715.
And it came to pass, that on the morrowH4283 MosesH4872 wentH935 into the tabernacleH168 of witnessH5715; and, behold, the rodH4294 of AaronH175 for the houseH1004 of LeviH3878 was buddedH6524, and brought forthH3318 budsH6525, and bloomedH6692 blossomsH6731, and yieldedH1580 almondsH8247.
And MosesH4872 brought outH3318 all the rodsH4294 from beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 unto all the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: and they lookedH7200, and tookH3947 every manH376 his rodH4294.
And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto MosesH4872, BringH7725 Aaron'sH175 rodH4294 againH7725 beforeH6440 the testimonyH5715, to be keptH4931 for a tokenH226 against the rebelsH4805+H1121; and thou shalt quite take awayH3615 their murmuringsH8519 from me, that they dieH4191 not. {rebels: Heb. children of rebellion}
And MosesH4872 didH6213 so: as the LORDH3068 commandedH6680 him, so didH6213 he.
And the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 spakeH559 unto MosesH4872, sayingH559, Behold, we dieH1478, we perishH6, we all perishH6.
Whosoever cometh any thing nearH7131 unto the tabernacleH4908 of the LORDH3068 shall dieH4191: shall we be consumedH8552 with dyingH1478?
